Republicans: You wouldn't have to criticize President Kerry
...if, as flood waters were cresting after the worst natural disaster to hit, John were off wind-surfing, skeet-shooting and making unrelated speeches about pet projects to a hand-picked, captive audience.

If John Kerry had appointed someone to head FEMA who'd previously headed a French Wine-Tasters association, you certainly wouldn't have to call for the man's resignation.

Had President John Kerry displayed such a grotesque level of callousness and ineptitude, you wouldn't have to do any of those things. I'd be doing it first, angriest, and loudest. And I'd have a shitload of angry Democrats backing me up.

We'd demand that the House impeach the bastard, and that the Senate convict him.

That's what we'd do.

Just so you know, that's the difference between you, and us.

1. Of course
And Kerry wouldn't have ignored everything either and wouldn't have gone and played a guitar, golfed, fundraised etc. when there were reports about it and there is a picture of Bush on August 28th watching the weather channel. I'm sure Kerry wouldn't have put a moron with no experience head of FEMA either. And yes we aren't afraid to critize each other and right the wrong even if it's our own. (see the democrats with FDR)

2. You got that right! I nominated your post.
But of course, this disgusting lack of response would not have occured under Kerry's watch.
And yes, we Dems are the first egg throwers even if it's at our own.

3. Think about "Bowling for Columbine."
The villian of that movie, really, was Bill Clinton; Michael Moore was scathing in his criticism of the "welfare to work" program that had the effect of stranding children as parents trooped off to shitty-paying jobs hours away by bus.

Now try to imagine any RW pundit-thug producing anything of equal anger against one of their own. You just can't, can you?

4. YOU ARE CORRECT BUNKERBUSTER
I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT SUCH BLATANT DISREAGARD FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IF IT CAME FROM A DEMOCRAT - *NEVER* - BECAUSE I PUT THE INTERESTS OF AMERICA FIRST. *THAT* IS WHAT TRUE PATRIOTS DO.
