Who thinks Cheney is dead?
I was going to do a poll but we're at level three.

If he were alive, I'd expect him to be shooting the Katrina survivors.

Also, what would be an an appropriate eulogy for him?

That yellow bastard.

And that makes me wonder:
Can somebody here Photoshop up a pic of Cheney to look like that guy from Sin City? That'd be great.

think of all the poor oil companies that have lost some things in this tragedy. Some one with some power in the govt needs to be in charge of the most needy of corporate giants, in this time of maybe slightly lower profits.

who is going to bail out the downtrodden billion dollar corporations? who will speak for their profits? who will write the enormous No-Bid rebuilding contracts, if not Dick.

22. Cheney's not dead. He's conveniently out of sight, working on the next....
....disaster.

These fuckwits may not be capable of causing hurricanes (yet) but they definitely have turned this mess into their own mad scientist experiment. They are watching this as a test case of what happens when thousands of people are suddenly homeless and starving under extreme climate conditions. And the next "terrorist attack" will be planned accordingly. And that's probably what Uncle Dick is working on right now.

23. ProQuest search, last 7 days--last heard from 8/19
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 05:07 PM by blondeatlast
Knight Ridder (abstract--this is from my account, so I won't link):

Aug. 19--SPRINGFIELD -- Vice President Dick Cheney told a veterans group Thursday that "we will not relent" in the cause to bring freedom and peaceful order to Iraq.

In a brief, noontime appearance at the national convention of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Cheney pointed to the hardships and heroism of Gen. George Washington's Continental Army, detailed in the recent best seller 1776 by historian David McCullough.

Before Cheney's address, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued a statement accusing the Bush administration of failing to adequately fund veterans' benefits while using "the men and women of our armed forces as political props."

Nothing, absolutely nothing, after August 19--and ProQuest is pretty up to date...

Edit: EBSCO--not a single damn thing...

28. He may be seriously ill
Congressman Rangel mentioned this a couple of weeks ago - that Cheney was sick with heart disease issues. I'd believe Rangel before I believe KKKarl Rove or the other spin doctors. Heck, they might even have a double filling in for Cheney so as not to panic the nation.

I think a Cheney illness would explain a small part of why * is screwing everything up so miserably. He's the puppetmaster.

29. DICK WATCH DATELINE SEPTEMBER 2, 2005
Google News:

Reportedly headed to Alberta on September 8th:

Protests being arranged:

http://www.vivelecanada.ca/article.php/2005090214445783

I searched ProQuest and EBSCO (from my local library) and found no citations after 8/19, when he spoke to a veteran's group--last verifiable sighting that I am aware of:

Abstract (Document Summary)
