He is a former physicist with a physicist's penchant for attacking problems logically and without dogmatic thinking. We need more politicians like him.

2. He is the reason why I got into politics

I am a Holt fan myself. Hes the reason why I got into politics when in 2000 he got narrowly reelected by approx 1,000 votes. Coupled with the Presidential Race I realized my vote actually counts. Sadly I no longer live in his district.

(assuming it gets counted correctly, which I am less than confident about). I was suppose to see Rush Holt speak at an event I was at last year in DC, but he was detained at the last minute and send one of his staff instead. :-(
