Ex-agent says CIA wanted false data
By Reuters

WASHINGTON -- A fired CIA agent, whom a newspaper says told superiors in 2001 that Iraq had abandoned part of its nuclear program, is asking the FBI to investigate allegations that the spy agency dismissed him for refusing to falsify intelligence.

A July 11 letter to FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III from the former agent's lawyer suggests that CIA officials may be guilty of criminal violations involving intelligence he produced on weapons of mass destruction in 2000 that contradicted an official agency position.

The lawyer, Roy Krieger, said his client initially asked the CIA's inspector general to investigate allegations that CIA officials had pressured him to alter the intelligence and retaliated when he refused. But the inspector general rebuffed his request.
The former agent was fired for unspecified reasons in September 2004, the letter says.

2. Christ, I'm so disgusted by all these people who get power
and then believe they somehow are auditioning for starring role in a James Bond movie. This whole scandal smacks of a tawdry, badly produced spy movie. And the sad part is that these people to keep their adrenalin rushing are willing to sacrifice thousands of lives. That goes for spies and administration officials.

5. grrrrrr! DUUUUUH!
it's sooo obvious that information has been pulled, stretched, steam rolled, sexed up, made up, turned over, turned out, etc. -- all to invade a country that only in science fiction could have been considered a threat to the u.s.

and i do blame both the powers that be AND my STUPID, VINDICTIVE AND LAZY fellow citizens.
the people who voted for bush that made the races close enought to steal are as much to blame as bushco.
the right information was right there.

all that being said -- i really feel for this guy -- he's in outer space in this case -- and maybe no way back home.
