Forbes "Most Powerful Woman"..."Steely nerved and delicate" Condi Rice
Rice heads Forbes' list of most powerful women
Secretary of state's 'steely nerve' sees her top list for second year in a row

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8749637 /

SINGAPORE - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has beaten 99 female heads of state, chief executives and celebrities to top Forbes magazines list of the worlds most powerful women for the second year in a row.

Daytime talk show giant Oprah Winfrey was ninth on the list and the magazines choice for most powerful female celebrity

The magazines gauge of a composite of visibility, measured by press citations, and economic impact had Chinas Vice-Premier Wu Yi in second followed by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoschenko in third.

In fact, the magazine saw Rice as wielding such raw power that she won last years inaugural rankings, even before President Bush gave her the secretary of state job. She won as Bushs National Security Adviser. With her steely nerve and delicate manners, Rice lately has reinvigorated her position with diplomatic activism, said Forbes on its Web site about its no. 1 in terms of feminine clout. Rice has played a key, behind-the-scenes role in all of President George W. Bushs major decisions, Forbes said.

5. Too bad Forbes mistakes, myopic psychotic tendencies for strength.
Then again, Forbes himself was a total freak.

6. OK, that's it. Forbes has officially gone off the deep end!
"Delicate"??? I'm sure that was meant as a compliment (in a sexist kind of way), but it's not really appropriate.

7. Steely nerve my ass...she coulda insisted Bush read the PDB
in Aug of 2001 and insist he take evasive action by alerting the airlines of possible attack.

after 9/11, all we got outta her was, "We never thought they would use airliners as bombs"

What a dufus....

Team Bush has lost everytime since day one....

Nary a victory for them, even in Iraq, as much as Team Bush wanted an easy victiry...it has turned out to be a loser of a campaign.

Some bitch we got in condi....

10. PLEASE post a warning next time...bleahh...
Condi Rice: the anti-viagra.

that having been said, I don't see how she can be considered a powerful woman when her tools of ascendance are toadyism, being a lying sycophant and letting her married boss suck face with her in public in front of millions of people.

that's not power, that's surviving by bootlicking. As soon as the neocons are out of power, she will have none again.

Its power conferred, not earned.
