DLC or Anti-War left- who cares?

Let your issues & strategies for the DEMs stand on their merits -drop all the labels...

Could it work, at least here at DU?

We are all acting like idiots- we should be talking about the war, the economy & Karl Rove and exactly what we should do instead of who is in what club.

Can we discuss issues & strategy without propping oursleves up by trashing the other "club."

Truce?

2. Wow
a productive idea! I wonder if it'll fly.

In all seriousness, I completely agree.

3. That's what we do the most of anyway
What is this about? DLC? GOP?

The DLC is irrelevant so long as we deem it such. Acknowledging the fifth column lends it undue legitimacy. Ignore their proclamations, keep everyone who would care to associate with it under the DNC umbrella, marginalize its leadership, and generally prevent it from becoming a "parallel power structure." Make it look like a group of Democrats who are getting together independently and taking some stances or other but not trying to assert real control over or the true stances of the Democratic party.

The GOP is presenting a highly unified front. Generalizations there are completely justified.

4. I think the DLC represents an idea. It's an "-ism," as Ferris Bueller
would put it.

And it's a dead, losing idea, that keeps getting resurrected by those who are forever branded with their label.
