As we don't need the media (who ignored the 8 7/23 Congressional hearings, we don't CSPAN to cover this (they claimed they do not cover events that too many people suggest!).

6. Thanks to you for the links to the Conference call

which I didn't have any access to, until after the Town Hall when I got to go upstairs to the President of the Law College's office where I filmed Congressman Conyers talking to Randi and all..

Got most of that, but the office was so small, and he was concentrating so hard that he was facing the window, so it's mostly shots of the back of his head - I'd miked him so I had his voice and thought I could synch up the other voices later and now that I've found them I should be able to make it more complete of a record..

As for having all that film of the back of his head I'll have to get artistic with that filmwise, maybe show some of it, the office, etc and a picture of the handsome brave man in it's place while they wrap up the phone call..

THEN my Hero (and the hero of many others I'm sure) himself got up and gave me a big warm HUG and called me "Brother".. I was blushing, but I got it on camera (I try to not insert myself into the films, it's all about the issue, not me) -- but I may stick this in because I'm so proud of him being glad to see me there documenting it when the Media won't do it - so that everyone can see the whole message, right or left, and make up their own minds about this awful period in our history, when an Official of the US Govt outed a Covert CIA Agent, something that has NEVER occurred in the history of our nation.

To me that was like being hugged by a Beatle or Martin Luther King himself, a huge honor.

I took a day off today to recover, but I'll be getting the Town Hall meeting to the Conyer's office for them to use for clips or whatever.

It was fun to see my film Preview played at the start of the event, "Rove's War" went over pretty well - feedback is good for making something that connects with the audience, opens them up so the facts are accepted..

A big thanks to all who helped me get there with donations, to all who worked on the Town Halls and House Parties to make them the best, and to those who SHOWED UP in huge numbers.

We'll beat Bush, Rove and Co, and we'll use the TRUTH and the AMERICAN People to do it. :)

8. Well

two things - one, my tripod head was SMASHED by United this trip - High Tech Steel in a custom padded case by the manufacturer so it will be hard for them to deny the claim, but I have to purchase another, then bring them the receipt so they can reimburse me "in a few weeks.." (Translation: probably a month or more:)

The other thing is that I was only able to make it to Detroit on the basis of some good folks here on the DU donating towards my "Rove's War" DVD coming out in early August to cover my travel costs as donations is all Takebackthemedia.com runs on - we don't want to sell out to advertisers en masse..

Also I have about two films to edit all by my lonesome and the cheese don't cut itself as we all know, someone has to do it, and that would be me :)

Much as I love listening to, meeting and admire these folks in Boston I don't see any way of doing it - if I had the money, time, and indestructible equipment it would be a sublime pleasure to help move this issue and force the media to cover it..

Sometimes when the little guys keep showing up, they decide to compete and squish him - I won't be squished, but I sure would love to have them try it and inadvertantly cover this story :)
