8. it would be "Fermez la bouche" but...
even if it is an accurate translation of "close your mouth" it is never employed even in polite French.

You normally say "Taisez vous" ou tais-toi" (be silent)

in most case you say "Ta gueule", which is like STFU.

9. Ah, I first used the feminine, then edited to change it!
But it doesn't matter if it's used, politely, or not. It's a weak attempt at some sort of pun.

4. Fermez means close in French
bush means mouth - "close the mouth" is the literal translation - so it says "shut Bush up"

Progmom, your smilie makes me jealous. I want my smilies to party, but since I am computer illiterate I must choose from the lovely smilies provided by the mods.

11. That is too polite. Fermez is the second person plural which is
a sign of respect of a decent way of saying "you". To say "you" singular is really an insult. This is "you" plural.

Fermez should be changed to Fermes (or something) in order to make it more insulting. You would only use second person singular in French on someone you consider to be like a cockroach. Fermez shows too much respect for Bush.

We need to "tutoiler" this slogan. "Tu" Fermes ta Bush! (And you don't pronounce the es like you do with the ez).
