| Prediction: More Leaks in Rove-Gate Case in Next Few Days |
|
The leaks in the Rove-Gate case have increased in the last week, as word spread about Cooper and his testimony.
We've heard lot's of new information in recent days from anonymous sources familiar with this or that aspect of the investigation. I predict that we will learn of a few bombshells in the coming days, as people seek to keep the story on the front page.
Also, with the open letter from former CIA folks to Congressional leaders, many conservative folks will have some explaining to do about their cavelier attitude toward covert operatives.

That should be the main focus, too. There is still a window of time concerning the Roberts distraction; let the special interest groups who have been ready for this handle it at least until the Senate hearings convene.
The thing is, by staying on the scandal, as Bush fall further down the credibility hole so too will his nomination. Moderates/Independants will be against almost everything Bush does. Then as they begin to pay attention to the hearings, they'll already be fully with us that Bush is a crook taking the country in the wrong direction.
There may still be a few sensible Republicans out there too, who did not vote for Bush but weren't passionately disappointed about the "results". They will be influential in pushing the Congress (who will be listening intently with the campaign season on the horizon).

I agree that we can't let this "S"candel fade into the night. But at the same time, we can't NOT pay attention to *'s SCOTUS nominees. It's time to really be on our toes, so to speak.

all the conservative including Bush have said repeatedly for years. Now the mantra is "Judge Roberts is brilliant". What is the conservative definition of brilliant? In Rove's case it apparently includes being brilliantly devious, devisive and driven toward his own extremist goals, such as wanting a permanent filibuster-proof republican majority. I am hoping that Judge Roberts' brilliance is of a different caste.

I doubt that seriously. They did not feel the slightest bit embarrassed about their "Purple Heart Bandaids". they have shown an utter and complete disregard for America's true Heroes and Heritage. Why would you think they would change now?
