Are they blaming him for one of their own going to jail?

1. He's the one who's been giving them their daily talking points

Since this issue concerns him, he hasn't been able to distribute them on this topic. In the absence of direction, the press has just sort of been milling about on their own, looking for something entertaining to report on.

Enough people are talking about it, so they know there'll be ratings out of it. Also, it's July... usually nothing big (but hurricanes) happens in July. If this was a go-nowhere story, they'd still be ignoring it.

Just my opinion. The media in this country, by and large, suck.

Even Rove's lawyer has now directly contradicted McClellan's 2003 statement that Rove told him he was not involved.
