Richard Clarke on ABC's Primetime Live
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 10:32 PM by FW_
When asked what he would say to shrub if he still had his old job, basically said "Spend $$ on protecting America not on Iraq". He also said that unlike what the "president" says, fighting in Iraq does not ensure our safety at home as was witnessed in London today.

10. Kerry's big mistake during the campaign:
Not hitting Bush's pathetic pre-9/11 performance. Richard Clarke already revealed to everyone how lightly Bush and the WH took the terrorism issue, but Kerry, for some reason, refused to run with it.

11. It was a very strong statement...basically saying that this bombing...
highlights how ridiculous it is to say "fight them there not here"...its not possible, they are going to come here anyways...

We need to spend one-tenth of what we are spending in Iraq on securing our borders, we would actually be safer...
