MSNBC Claiming Those Responsible are From Iraq....
Earlier this morning I saw this on MSNBC and figured DU would be going wild about it but I see nothing about it. This is exactly how Bush and Blaire are gonna justify the Iraq war now claiming that the terrorist are still out there.

All of these idiots will believe this to and Bush's approval ratings will skyrocket. Yesterday was a good day for us, today sucks.

2. Who, exactly, on MSNBC said this?
Was it one of the regular talking heads, one of their designated right-wing bloviators, or someone they were interviewing? Context, please...?

24. It was One of the Morning News Anchors
They all look the same. As Soon as I heard this I was gonna get on DU and post it but then the Sheriff came and had papers for me so I delayed it.

They were talking about who could be responsible and said that the Terrorist the United States were fighting in Iraq was responsible...

3. So, no terrorist from Iraq ever attacks a western City,
the West invades Iraq, and then a terrorist from Iraq attacks a Western city.

And this is supposed to help Bush?

have to worry about revenge attacks from the Iraqi people?

There would have been NO terrorists from Iraq had the WAR CREATED them.

5. with US forces on the job.. how do Iraqi terrorists get out of the country
with the London police patrolling the subways and trains.. how do terrorists plant bombs? It's mighty convenient that when the shit is hitting the fan about the DSMs' and Roves outing of the CIA agent.. we get a nice big terrorist attack. many people here predicted it.. I think they were just off the mark on where.

11. are you implying the French are responsible?
they are mad so they planted bombs in the subway overnight? Yes, I can believe it has more to do with the G8 summit.. but you have to admit.. this is mighty convenient for the current admin. My gosh, if it wasn't for bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.

33. nothing implied at all
it could always just be a group of run of the mill idiots. If there were a connection to the games, it would not have to even be a candidate city. Just one that did not want the British to have them (and I do not mean the IRA, either.)

I see they have found some detonators and some unexploded bombs---very sloppy in that is indeed true.

7. May very well have come from Iraq. Bushco has opened it to terrorists....
as Saddam never could, or would. Chimpy and Blair have created THE training ground for terrorists from all over the middle east. Why train in the barren Afghan hills when you can train in urban terrorism a large metropolitan setting!

9. Today sucks, perhaps...until they investigate and discover that
the bombers were the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker in in Baghdad right up until their homes/businesses/families were destroyed by an illegal invasion, eh?
I don't imagine that would ever be made public if such was the case, though.

10. well....

trained in Iraq to perform bombings that are effective at killing civilians may not be such a bad guess, given what we know about Iraq being used as a kind of Muslim radical training ground.

Of course, the implicit logic is backwards- Iraq's present condition is a creation of Bush and Blair, they're responsible for it being a place where their enemies train with near-impunity.

14. Correlation is not causation, but the timing sure smells funny.
Lately I have seen multiple comments here and on other sites speculating as to when the next "terrorist" attack would be in light of recent polls about Bush. Whoever pulled this off were not amateurs, not the way this was synchronized. This was not done by wild eyed car bombers or suicide bombers, but by some very sophisticated planners. Considering all of the planning, it is interesting that they picked random ordinary citizens just using the transit system.

22. Tin Foil Hat View of the theory that Iraqis did this.
Lots of different groups are in Iraq and would have access to Iraqi explosive materiel and be familiar with Iraqi methods in placing and detonating bombs -- including British and American soldiers, private contractors, Al Qaeda groups that have grown up out of the chaos in Iraq, other militant religious groups from various countries, ideologies and religious sects.

We can't jump to conclusions, but we can't reject any theory at this time, not matter how outlandish. And the experts are not to be trusted unless they prove they can be trusted. Unless the British authorities get confessions, we may never know who did this. And even if they do get confessions, doubts will remain. Remember the death of Kelly in Britain,. Since that affair, I do not trust the British authorities to conduct an honest investigation of this matter.

And this is supposed to be good for Bush????? Think again.

The British media is not as corrupt as the American media. This is bad for Blair. Very bad for Blair. By extension, that's not good at all for Bush.

This steps all over his talking points about the war in Iraq.

war. he are bombing and fighting them now. so, if they do bomb england, isnt that the engagement of war.

if it is merely an orginization,......then it is terrorist

but in war, doestn that allow iraq every right to bomb england, and u.s. for that matter and any other country there fighting
