Went to a peace rally and "impeach Bush" demonstration today
in my hometown in Kansas. Had about 20 people there.

About half or more of the people driving by who responded seemed positive. One of our dudes was holding up a sign that said "honk if you HATE BUSH." A lot of people were honking, my friends.

Also got in a couple of shouting matches with right-wingers. Very invigorating--good for the circulation, I tell ya.

Anyway, if you haven't tried it yet, link up with your local peace and justice or Democracy For America group and go out and hold up a sign. Yes, you're making a dorky spectacle of yourself, but it's still the right thing to do.

A dorky spectacle, yes. In Kansas if you stand for anything you are making a dorky spectacle of yourself. Good for you. I am proud of your city.
