7. Yeah, he really believes in going in there
He's convinced Dems have to reach out to that audience and not let the Repuke message be the only one they hear.

2. High school dropout Hannity vs. Gen. Clark
I can't imagine a more demonstrative example of Republicanism vs. America.

4. Oh, is he a high school dropout?
I know that drugie Limbaugh is a college dropout. I'm collecting them to go in a series of "Dropout Republicans." Nice, don't you think?

17. C'mon, Hannity is so effective when he repeats his questions
over and over, and says, "I am going to give you one last change to answer the question..." And the best is that Dems are finally getting smart, and refusing to answer his ridiculous questions, and keep on their talking points. It is giving him gray hairs!!

3. I remember the last time he made Hannity just frenzied....
was when Clark said that Bush was nothing but a cheerleader.

Hannity attacked Clark for putting down cheerleaders.

Bottomline....Hannity looked like the great big fool that he is, and I, CLark and others had a hearty chuckle!

PS. It should be noted that shortly thereafter, in a mysterious sign of "coincidence", cheerleaders were demonized on national Teevee, and new rules were made regarding Cheerleaders wearing "skimpy" outfits.

Must have been the power of Clark. LOL!

I love it when he calls Hannity "Sean", and gives him "the look".

Like calling down the 'class clown'

Can't wait!

6. Hey, here's the cheerleader bit.....
Then Hannity - the uneducated pretty-boy who avoided Vietnam, - got all in the retired General's face. I especially liked it when Clark, having been asked whether Kerry had the strength and conviction to be President, replied, "George W. Bush was cheerleeding while John Kerry played hockey." It was a cute throwaway line, but it was quite astonishing to watch Hannity get all unhinged at that point, screaming in Clark's face: "what do you mean by that? What are you saying about cheerleaders?" over and over and over again. Clark was unfazed, and gave a mischievous smile to Hannity. http://wny4clark.blogspot.com/2004_10_10_wny4clark_archive.html

Clark was right on the money....as usual!

Vietnam. But he could have volunteered for the first Gulf War, that chickenhawk!!!

9. Correction: Clark is now a Faux News "military consultant"
Edited on Wed Jun-15-05 07:56 PM by Clark2008
Fox News Is Generally Speaking
6/15/2005 4:55:00 PM

General Wesley Clark has joined Fox News Channel as a military and foreign affairs analyst.

Clark spent more than 30 years in the U.S. Army, where he rose to the rank of four-star general and NATO Supreme Allied Commander from 1997-2000. He also ran for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination.

"General Clark's extensive military experience and sharp insight make him a powerful addition to Fox News Channel," senior vice president of programming Bill Shine said in a prepared statement.

Clark added, "I am excited by this opportunity to contribute to Fox News Channel's coverage and offer my perspective to the important issues facing the United States and the global community."

Now... I don't know about you, but I think this is strategy at its best. I somehow don't see the General cow-towing like Alan Colmes (never has before in appearances on Faux). I imagine that this might be a small coup.
Faux, whether we like it or not, is the most popular channel, particularly in the South and the mid-West.
Can you imagine our General out there beating the Bushes, literally, in their own back yard?
Maybe Clark got to Murdoch when they were on that global financial panel together. Maybe Clark is trying to appeal to moderate Republicans. Maybe, because stupid Faux is on in every salon, restaurant, gym and repair shop, this is the best strategy of a Dem candidate yet.
Let's see how Insannity treats him tomorrow night.

13. and foreign affairs analyst
That's the part I like best. Everybody knows he can talk military. Foreign affairs opens a whole lot up. Now, if he can only get a job doing domestic affairs, I'll be even more happy.

Leave it to Wes, though, to take on Fux!

19. We folks who don't watch Faux wish you all well....tuning in to check him
out to see if Clark is upholding Dem values is going to increase Faux's ratings and Ailes is a very sharp cookie like Rove so he get's that the wind is at the Dems Backs and he's going to capture that breeze to get his ratings back up.

For you Clark supporters...you just need to keep at it and "hold his feet to the fire" if he veers off course.

It's all about the money...but for Clark it was a way to get his opinions to another audience ...and make some money too. I can't blame him for this. He could do some good stuff on Faux. But, I will never turn that cable on to Faux because I just have such bitterness towards them. Others will and that's great.

24. Clark has never "veered off course" and he won't start now
Edited on Wed Jun-15-05 09:40 PM by ClarkUSA
He's always said that we liberal Democrats all need to stop preaching to the choir and get in the thick of things and reach out to people who have been hoodwinked by the GOP and tell them the truth in a way that they will hear and
understand. Well, now he's got a chance to do it himself in a huge way.

As for ratings, Clear Channel is carrying AAR these days - I don't believe people here wanted to refuse to listen just because they would dramatically boost Clear Channel's ratings share? Now if Dean started a regular gig at Fox, I'd definitely tune in and to hell with the ratings bleep. It's not as if I have a Nielson box anyway. :)

As for money, he won't be making nearly as much in money and perks as Dean makes as DNC Chairman but both of them deserve every dime they will make and more because they are/will be working so damn hard to get the truth out there
for all of us.

It's a great strategic move to do "good stuff" as you said and access millions of possible swing voters for the Party in time for 2006, not to mention lots of Democrats who are clueless, which will be great for Dean, too! Wes Clark is already Harry Reid and Congress' go-to-guy for national security issue briefings and talking points, so this will be great.

So what if Fox's ratings go up a little? That might convince them to hire more real liberal voices. Wouldn't it be amazing to see Dean and Clark in a split-screen talking about Iraq on Fox someday? Karl's head should spin and spout green goo if that happens. :P

It's all good.

26. Hey KoKo
Clarkies are good about capturing Clark on video with all the ads removed.

We'll point you to the site so that you can see how he's doing without having to add to Ailes revenue.

How's that?

20. Isn't it Way too Cool that Clark managed to get this gig....amazing.
I guess it's the tipping point we've all been waiting for when Faux sees that they need to broaden their audience.

I do wish Clark well on this. We need all the help we can get. And many feel that if we can reach out to the RW'ers we will gain votes for 2006-08. I don't agree with that...but hey I'm way lefty so of course I wouldn't.

21. But, but, but....
I'm a lefty too, and I disagree with your conclusion. I believe that we have to get the moderates and the Know-nothings! There are women who are not so conservative having to watch that channel because of their husband. In fact, there are most likely more of those watching Faux then are watching any other "news" channel!

Let me tell you...my husband is a middle of the road Black church Deacon and accountant who turns Fox on every morning. I switch to C-Span when he's not looking....but it doesn't change what he does.
