EDIT: This is not even a new story.
LaTorneau's father abused her as a child and Susan(?)Smith's Stepdad abused her as child. (EDIT That was the Beverly Russell named above)
Smith drowned her kids, and we all know LaTorneau's story. Both men were bigwigs in UltraConservative Republican political circles.

EDIT: More accurate details in post #9 below.

5. Slightly schadenfreudian.
But these are some sick fucks. I'm sure there's a common Republican desire to dominate over the powerless, and it will find ways to express itself through taxation, institutionalised racism, and apparently sexual deviation, as well.

I can't help but wonder how many more unreported and or non-convicted pervs are still out there...Me thinks those that shout the loudest against something have the most to hide (IMHO) Wasn't it the repugs telling us that if we "allow" gay marriages that the gays will be going after our children? mmm it looks like the repugs have done quite a job already...take care

9. Let's not forget the parentage of two of the decade's most infamous women:
Susan Smith, who murdered her two sons ten years ago was the stepdaughter of Beverly Russell, a prominant figure in the South Carolina Republican Party and in Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition who began molesting her (after two suicide attempts on her part) at the age of 15.

May Kay LeTourneau was the daughter of John G. Schmitz, a John Birch Society member who served in the California State Senate as a Republican from 1964 to 1970 and in Congress from 1970 to 1972. In 1972 he ran from the right for president against Nixon, getting about a million votes. This did not keep him from returning to the California State Senate as a Republican from 1978 to 1982; in 1984 he ran again for Congress, but was defeated by Bob Dornan (who for once in his life could pose as a moderate). However, he was a domineering man not only who had 5 children with his wife, but a secret family adding two more children with another young woman and at one point was investigated because one of those two children suffered a mutilated penis as an infant.

A bit odd, huh?

I saw a bit of a program about Letourneau and it pointed out how she was repeating her father's history only her case was worse because the victim was a child while her father's at least was an adult.

85. OK found an article - it was his student he had the kids with
http://www.crimelibrary.com/criminal_mind/psychology/ma...

It turned out that John Schmitz, champion of traditional morals and family values, had been having a longtime affair with a former student of his named Carla Stuckle. What's more, he had fathered two out-of-wedlock children with her.

The second family of John Schmitz became public knowledge because Carla was suspected of having abused or neglected her first child by John, a boy she had named John George.

Carla Stuckle, then 43, phoned her adult daughter from a previous marriage, Carla Larson, to tell her of some distressing news about John George, then an infant. Stuckle wept as she told her that the little boy's penis had been injured and would require surgery. "I took him to the doctor," Carla Stuckle sobbed. "He said the baby has a hair wrapped around his penis and it had been there for some time."

SNIP

{on being asked if the boy was his son during the abuse investigation}

"Yes, he is," Schmitz replied, "but I do not and will not support him financially. It is her responsibility to take care of him." He said he knew nothing of the hair on the boy's penis or how it happened.

most Republicans are not pedophiles, yet most pedophiles seem to be Republican.

It's not a philosophy, it's a way of life.

Oops.. to address the point, I've met genuine textbook pedophiles, 3 or 4 in my lifetime. All were white, male, insisted on being dominant, belittled women and minorities and were hardcore red, all the way.

All felt justified in their behavior and 2 were evangelical christians to boot, using their church contacts to both groom their victims and obscure/defend their crimes.

None ever showed a lick of shame (except before the judge).

I have a very low opinion of both pubbies and pedophiles, in my mind their roughly equateable.

If anyone reading this is a Republican, perhaps it's time to expose, not protect the predators among you. There giving you a bad name <snicker snicker>

44. I think with this
it just shows how anybody can be in the party and you never know. Republicans seem to have this trust with their political leaders and blind faith. All the politicians have to do is just say a few Bible verses and claim to go to church and have a family around and say you're anti-abortion. It's just easy to do for them. A lot of the republicans don't question authority and if someone tried to tell they were being raped etc. by someone in the party and they'd just be called name's etc.

Gannongate threatens to expose a huge GOP pedophile and male prostitution ring
http://onlinejournal.com/Media/021805Madsen/021805madse ...
By Wayne Madsen
Online Journal Contributing Writer

February 18, 2005Now that is has been discovered that "Jeff Gannon" (real name James D. Guckert), a "reporter" for Talon News Service, a front operation run by the conservative Republican-oriented GOPUSA.com, was using an alias as a cleared White House reporter, details are emerging that threaten to immerse the Bush administration in a major scandal.

"Gannongate," which is only now being mentioned by the mainstream news media, threatens to expose a potentially damaging GOP pedophile and male prostitution ring dating back to the 1980s and the administration of George H. W. Bush. James D. Guckert, using the name Jeff Gannon and possibly other aliases, was also running gay porn sites, one with a U.S. Marine Corps theme that solicited males for prostitution.

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said he did not realize Gannon was using an alias until recently. However, rumors in the gay community are circulating about McClellan frequenting gay bars in Austin, Texas.

From the Streets of Little Beirut
Glen Yeadon

On January 28, 2003, amid the furor of the impending war with Iraq the British press briefly reported on Operation Ore, the most thorough and comprehensive police investigation of crimes against children before being squashed by the Blair government. Besides implicating Rock guitarist Peter Townsend of the Who, the report claimed that senior members of Tony Blair's government were being investigated for pedophilia and the "enjoyment" of child-sex pornography. With the investigation reaching to senior members of his Government, Blair declared a news blackout on the story.

Moreover, the British report was not the first such case reported. In fact, it followed on the heels of a report from Portugal. On November 27, 2002, the press reported a scandal of pedophile ring run from a state orphanage. The Guardian reported that the scandal threatened to engulf diplomats, media personalities and senior politicians. Photographs of senior government officials with young boys from Lisbon's Casa Pia orphanage were among the evidence. More shocking however, were the revelations that systematic sexual abuse of children at the home had allegedly been going on for more than 20 years and had been known to police and other authorities for most of that time.

On January 14, 2002, Insight Magazine reported the charges leveled by Ben Johnson against his employer Dyncorp, a major defense contractor. Johnson charged that officials and employees of Dyncorp were engaging in perverse, illegal and inhumane behavior and were purchasing illegal weapons, women, forged passports and participating in other immoral acts. Johnson had witnessed his supervisors and fellow employees buying 12- to 15-year-olds as sex slaves.

While prostitution is the worlds oldest profession, the global sex trade is big business. The impact of illegal immigrant traffic in Canada is estimated at between $120 million to $400 million per year accounting for approximately 8,000 to 16,000 people arriving in Canada per year illegally. The estimate is from Organized Crime Impact Study, prepared for the Solicitor General of Canada. The majority of the illegal immigrants are forced into prostitution and come from Vietnam and China. Once smuggled into Canada the young girls are sold into bondage throughout a North America network. Moreover, Canada is not alone. Young Russians and Ukrainian women that wish to immigrate to Israel are often smuggled into the country destitute and at the mercy of their pimp
The most publicized case is the story of Cathy O'Brien told in the book TRANCE Formation of America: The True Life Story of a ClA Slave. O'Brien is the only vocal and recovered survivor. Like many others, Cathy was introduced to the program by her perverted father. Cathy covers an almost unbelievable array of conspiratorial crime: forced prostitution (white slavery) with those in the upper echelons of world politics, covert assignments as a "drug mule" and courier. Another survivor, Paul Bonaci who survived two decades of torture under Project MONARCH has disclosed strong corroborating evidence of wide-scale crimes and corruption from the municipal/state level all the way up to the White House. He has testified about sexually abused males selected from Boy's Town in Nebraska and taken to nearby Offutt AFB.(where did george fly to on 9-11-01) At Offutt, they were subjected to intense MONARCH programming, directed mainly by Commander Bill Plemmons and former Lt. Col. Michael Aquino.

Monarch programming involves traumatizing the victim in order to create multiple personalities in the victim. Sexual molestation and the occult are standard tools for the Monarch programmer. There are several levels of Monarch programming.

Alpha is regarded as general programming within the base personality.
Beta programming or sexual programming eliminates all learned moral behavior and stimulates the primitive sexual instinct, devoid of inhibitions.

Delta is known as killer programming. Subjects are devoid of fear and are very systematic in carrying out their assignment. Self-destruct or suicide instructions are layered in at this level.

Look it up for your self by doing a google search you will find lots of evidence out there this is how those Saddist controll our goverment and why we never get real answers to questions like who covered up the JFK killing along with RFK and Martin Luther King

This one has documents posted.
http://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/030305Mads ...
As someone intimately involved in the investigation of the Navy case and as a victim of the cover-up, this reporter is publishing for the first time correspondence and documents on the Navy affair so that the current Bush sex scandal, "Gannongate," does not go the way of the Nebraska/Washington, DC, Navy, and Abu Ghraib/Guantanamo scandals. (One note of interest: the "X" in the Case Control Number 718XNA refers to the FBI's cross referencing file numbering system. The "X" means that the case is a "X" casemeaning that the case is of extreme sensitivity, the "NA" following the "X" refers to the Navy. There are, in fact, "X Files," but they have nothing to do with aliens but very much to do with high-level government officials engaged in off-the-wall activities, like pedophilia and prostitution).

AMERICAN CHILD SEX RINGS THAT REACHED THE WHITE HOUSE

THE FRANKLIN COVER UP - Former Nebraska State Senator, John De Camp was put on the job to debunk allegations of pedophile rings that ran right up to the highest levels in the Regan/Bush WHITEHOUSE !!!!

"Conspiracy of Silence', a documentary listed for viewing in TV Guide Magazine, was to be aired on the Discovery Channel, on May 3, 1994. This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies. Many children suffered the indignity of wearing nothing but their underwear and a number displayed on a piece of cardboard hanging from their necks when being auctioned off to foreigners in Las Vegas, Nevada and Toronto, Canada.

Someone paid off the producers and pulled this documentary off the play list just before it was to be aired to the American public.

The documentary "Conspiracy of Silence" that was removed from the 'Discovery Channel's' listing can be obtained and seen from the links below;

WS NOTICE OF CARE: John De Camp never mentions who it was that made the payment to stop this documentary from being aired - Please use your better judgment and sort the 'wheat from the chaff' as there appears to be some 'omission' and 'blame shifting' behind this film. I have read unconfirmed reports around Internet forums that the CIA might have been running a 'blame shifting' operation called "brownstone", in regards to this "Franklin Cover up" debacle. WS welcomes feedback from John De Camp on this matter. E-mail

"They don't care about stopping it, they only care about who's going to take the blame" Former LAPD narcotics officer Michael Ruppert talking about the CIA drug trade at www.copvcia.com . If some are happy enough to push drugs from this organization then a little 'blame shifting' on the Franklin topic wouldn't be surprising either. The film is still worth a look though!

28. And we wonder why they allow chaos to continue and seem to
act as though the pain of the children in wartorn areas does not bother them.

Why would they want to see Iraq, Africa, Haiti and other places chaotic while the children suffer and die?

If you ask why while thinking of the children, it's easy to figure out. Open market sexual toys, slavery and the like...all for the taking by the rich and powerful.

I'm sure the truth would scare the living daylights out of us!

49. When the really bad tsunami happened earlier this year
I remember reading how so many children were left homeless and without their parents or any relatives and sexual predators would get to them. :( It was so horrible. In Abu Graib and Guntanamo I've read women and chldren are raped there. I saw a BBC documentary about this on http://www.informationclearinghouse.info and it was about the prison and a person was telling how a woman who was in the prison told she was raped and her family killed her because they couldn't marry her off.

Well, it turned out women were sending messages out about their sexual abuse and asking to be mercy-killed.

47. Don't forget Tom DeLay
Rhandi Rhodes I believe it was on her show was talking about how DeLay would go on business trips to sex trade clubs and he was supposed to investigate for Congress and in Clinton's administration he (Clinton) tried to close down these type of places but DeLay would vote in their favor. He would also take his daughter (she's an adult) on these trips. Apparently she is a wild party animal and would be in hot tubs with men and pour champaign over her body and all that stuff. If nobody has seen the Kay Griggs video you should. I think I found it on a bit torrent site. I'm sure if you google for it you'll find it sooner or later. She basically talks about how there's homosexual sex in the military and those who participate get ranked up higher depending on who they are involved with and she even name's a few name's (at least two/three or so). Gannon was also in the White House on election night. I've never figured out why he'd be there and that White House invite-only party. Did anybody ever figure out if he was in the House when other world leaders were there?

27. Conspiracy of Silence

http://www.propagandamatrix.com/141003conspiracyofsilen...

About the Video

In mid-1993, after The Franklin Cover-Up had been circulating for almost a year, the British-based TV station, Yorkshire Television, sent a top-notch team to Nebraska to launch its own investigation of the Franklin case. Yorkshire had a contract with the Discovery Channel to produce a documentary on the case for American television.

They spent many months in Nebraska, and also travelled this country from one end to the other, interviewing, filming, and documenting piece-by-piece the Franklin story as I had told it in the book. They spent somewhere between a quarter-million and one-half million dollars investigating the story, deploying probably a thousand times the resources and abilities that I personally had.

Over the year that I worked with them, I was amazed at the teams ability to gather new documents and witnesses which kept opening up new and frightening facts about Franklin. They were a crack team. In the final weeks that they were in Nebraska, they expressed their certainty that they would win awards for this documented horror story of government-sanctioned abuse of children; and government protection of some of this countrys most powerful businessmen and politicians, who had been the chief acts in the Franklin story.

Finally, the big day came. Their documentary was to air nation-wide on the Discovery Channel on May 3, 1994. It was advertised in the TV Guide and in newspapers for that day. But no one ever saw that program. At the last minute, and without explanation, it was pulled from the air. It was not shown then, and has never been broadcast anywhere since.

I have a copy of that program, which arrived anonymously in my mail in late 1995. When I watched this pirated copy, I could see clearly why the program had been suppressed. Conspiracy of Silence proved, beyond doubt, that the essential points I had stressed in the book (and more) were all true.

46. Now this all explains
Edited on Sun May-22-05 11:51 PM by FreedomAngel82
where Jeff Gannon came from and how he got involved with Bush. It goes back to the White House and we all know it does. I remember reading in one of the many Gannon threads that Gannon was in Texas for a while. Perhaps that is where he met McClellan. Don't forget that one story where Gannon was invited to a White House invite-only party. I doubt any other press were involved. Gannon was definitley hired by someone in the Bush administration to leak documents and also knew about the "shock & awe" line before any news organization did. I think the person who got him involved was McClellan and someone introudced him to Gannon from GOPUSA. I remember people thought he was Johnny Gosch for a while. I don't know about that. How did Gosch disappear?

50. I clicked on your first link and then clicked on a link from that page
It gave warning about some shocking photos. There is a picture of what looks to me like a girl that can't be over the age of twelve. Parts of her are covered but you know what is going on. It freaked me out so much that I called the police to report the site. Maybe I am too neurotic because they probably know about the site already but it just put me into hysterics.

They told me to call another number tomorrow. I guess it is the sex crimes unit. I am still freaked out, (I am even afraid of getting in trouble for having that site being on my computer. I know I am a professional hystericalist, (yea, I made up that word)

Should I follow through and call the sex crimes unit tomorrow? And has any one else reported that page? It has all sorts of links to travel pages to Thailand and the man who runs it is named and his picture is up.

I wish to God I never saw it.

But not likely supported. I too have researched this issue, and found nothing but the occasional mention of consensual sex with an adult, like the Clinton thing. Liberals just are not typically associated with this sort of criminal behavior. Liberalism usually implies and allows less sexual hangups.

Pedophiles and sexual predators are drawn to the party of "moral values" and the whole religiosity factor to cover up what they know are criminal behaviors. It's an age old concept. The more deviant someone is, the more pious they pretend to be. Behind the shield of "Republican Right Wing Moral values" is the perfect place for a deviant of this ilk to hide. This hardly implies that ALL the faithful are perverts, but usually the most in-your-face, outspoken, fundamentalist haters - are just that. Depraved.

i have said in a couple of these threads that i think a database exists that could prove this. judges charged with sexual misconduct. we know their party, we know they are partisans, we know they are office holders who make judgments on other peoples morality and values. if someone here has access to nexis-lexis, i think we could find data to either further or dismiss this idea. personally, i think that rethugs are more likely to be, well, thugs.

And THAT is why her list is such valuable information. No other party besides them are laying claim to be "pure as the driven snow"

Or, as my Dad likes to say "the party of closet perverts."

Yeah, I have always suspected the the bible thumping, piousness, and judgmental behavior is all to cover up for sexual hang-ups and deviance. The louder someone bitches about the perceived sins of others, (as these guys LOVE to do) the more likely it is that they're trying to deflect from their OWN moral shortcomings.

It's also pretty well known that these pervs are only "pro-life" until they get a minor or mistress pregnant.

35. Liberalism = empathy; (Neo)conservatism = total lack thereof
I think that must be what it all boils down to. Every hardcore right-winger I've ever known seems to be completely lacking in empathy. Liberals usually can't stand to see suffering, which of course is what molestation is all about: the domination of the weak and the infliction of suffering on the helpless. If Rick Deckard put the Voight-Kampff test on neoconservatives, they would all have to be "retired" as replicants. (Semi-obscure and gratuitous Blade Runner reference.)

I don't know where that lack of empathy comes from in the right-wing, but it's there. Maybe it goes back to that "authoritian (and not nurturing) parent" thing. It's like right-wingers live their lives based on wholly on fear and not on love.

80. I think it's inevitable in some people
If it's advantageous for some in a population to be malaria resistant, the price is that others will have hemophilia.

Empathy, the basis of ethics (called natural law in many religious traditions) is a normal human trait. But we must also be capable of suppressing empathy in order to deal with emergencies (get the fire out, the vital signs stabilized, then and only then feel the victims' pain) and for self defense. If we have to be able to suppress empathy in order to survive, it's inevitable that a portion of the population will prove entirely too good at it.

Environmentally, cruel childrearing practices can result in beating it out of people who would otherwise have it.

60. odd that the nizkor link gives such a bad example
of ad hominem.

=====
Bill: "I believe that abortion is morally wrong."
Dave: "Of course you would say that, you're a priest."
Bill: "What about the arguments I gave to support my position?"
Dave: "Those don't count. Like I said, you're a priest, so you have to say that abortion is wrong. Further, you are just a lackey to the Pope, so I can't believe what you say."
=====

In fact, the example itself is a strawman fallacy:
The example implies that it is irrational for Dave to reject Bill's argument on the basis that, as a priest, Bill has an established 'argument from authority' (which undermines his 'support'ing arguments). The example suggests that this is equivalent to 'you are just a lackey to the pope'.

At any rate, it is logically true that extensive, documented evidence of pedophilia by activists/office-holders within the Republican party undermines that party's assumed position as guardians of morality.

That said, the examples based only on nutcase Washington Times articles should be dropped from the list, as should any examples wherein the accused was not convicted.

55. The Sociopath Next Door
If one in four possess no conscience, I wonder what percent of those are Republican? The book could be called the Republican next door, they way the profile fits to a T.

http://www.bookbrowse.com/reviews/index.cfm?book_number...

"We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary peopleone in twenty-fivehas an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in twenty-five everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath. They could be your colleague, your neighbor, even family. And they can do literally anything at all and feel absolutely no guilt.

How do we recognize the remorseless? One of their chief characteristics is a kind of glow or charisma that makes sociopaths more charming or interesting than the other people around them. They're more spontaneous, more intense, more complex, or even sexier than everyone else, making them tricky to identify and leaving us easily seduced. Fundamentally, sociopaths are different because they cannot love. Sociopaths learn early on to show sham emotion, but underneath they are indifferent to others' suffering. They live to dominate and thrill to win."

I doubt it, other than there is statistically probably a higher percentage of pedophiles that are ultra-religious. And those types tend to be republican.

But that kind of sickness. I don't think it has a party affiliation.

And I think to try to draw those kind of conclusions makes light of the issue.

67. Dasen was found guilty on Friday of sexual abuse of children.
Kalispell businessman Dick Dasen was convicted late Friday of five felonies and one misdemeanor, but was acquitted on seven other counts in his sex crimes trial.

The most serious of the guilty verdicts included promotion of prostitution and sexual abuse of children. The remaining three felony charges and single misdemeanor count were related to solicitation of prostitution.
Dasen was found not guilty of rape and aggravated promotion of prostitution, both connected to alleged sexual encounters with underaged girls.

Spokane news is now reporting new information about that dirtbag that involves a teenager:

http://www.kirotv.com/politics/4525680/detail.html

It's beyond belief that he hasn't resigned.. What a SICKO!!!!!

edit to add a clip of that article (back when West was a cop):

...."He put his hand way down inside the front of my pants, like a fondling search," Mewes said. "I told him over and over, 'My weed's not there, it's in my shoe."'

"But he left his hand down inside my pants for a long time," Mewes said. "I thought it was abnormal and very inappropriate."

71. One note:
"* Republican racist pedophile and United States Senator Strom Thurmond had sex with a 15-year old black girl which produced a child."

The age of consent according to the South Carolina constitution is 14. I'm not saying that doesn't make him a pedophile, just that she was over the state's age of consent.

Neal Horsley, anti-abortion nutcase and crusader, had nonconsensual sex with an underage mule.

You think I'm making it up? He actually admitted to this on Alan Colmes radio show, check it out:

PS I am assuming the mule was underaged, that is true.

88. a world wide sickness
"Police have confiscated computers across Italy, but have not yet pressed charges as they continue with their investigation.

The head of an Italian child protection organization said the case, which was centered on the Mediterranean island of Sicily, was just the tip of an iceberg.

"Dismay turns to uncontrollable rage when you are confronted by these images which not even the most hardened maker of horror films could bear to watch," Antonio Marziale of the Observatory of Child Rights was quoted as saying by Ansa news agency.

"Pedophilia has assumed emergency proportions and should be top of the government's agenda."
