2. Says he doesn't think Frist has the votes to go through with it.
Wants to offer this compromise.

10 have been turned down
3 have retired or withdrawn
leaves 7
2 of those they will vote up or down
leaves 5
Dems don't like any of those but want to avoid continuing controversy and contention.
missed the proposed action on the last 5.....

If they're allowed to change this on judges, next it will be changed on all nominees to come down the path - and Senate will become an extension of the House of Reps

3. Reid is ready to resolve the issue
Asked if White House is calling the shots.

Reid: Frist has told me personally he has not talked to White House on nuclear option.

Asked about that Friday comment

Reid: You've known me a long time and I don't try to hide how I feel, it was a poor choice of words but I want everyone within the sound of my voice to know how extremely disappointed I am with this President

We now have
a fake SS crisis
no attention on the increasing numbers of people without health ins or proper drug coverage
increase in education problems
unbelieveable deficits that just keep growing
an intractable war

So my choice of words may have been wrong but I'm going to continue to call things the way I see them and I think this President has done a very bad job for this Nation and The World

YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!
(That's my comment, not Reid's)
