Which news service is the best?

We're seeing Knight-Ridder come through with the 'memo' and I read here at DU that someone thought they were very good. In the past I've notice AP to be very weak.

From our collective experience can we try to rate the news services on objectivity?

How about a list? What are the main ones and how would you rate them?

1. And reporter too.
The memo reporters are Warren P. Strobel and John Walcott, Knight Ridder Newspapers

2. Reuters tends to be the most critical
Knight-Ridder is usually a big conservative suck-up network.

3. I've seen a number of good things from Knight-Ridder
I haven't kept score so maybe they've been outweighed by conservative stuff, but I've definatley seen a lot of good reports from them.

4. AFP #1 for global and US coverage, Reuters #2, AP a distant third
the other American wire services are USA Today trash. UPI (is?) has been owned by the Moonies and the Saudis - idiosyncratic angles on some stories you won't see elsewhere.
