Kerry revealed his thinking about VP

He said, in response to a question that he certainly wouldn't talk about it as it would be presumptuous at this point. But when pushed he said, " we need a president with experience and leadership and a VP who can help us win in Nov." Sounds to me like Kerry-Edwards '04

I think it is very possible, however, that Clark might be interested in Kerry as a running-mate, should Clark win the nomination. My wife thinks Kerry is too tall to be a VP, but I don't think Clark cares about that; in the military, they don't judge you on looks, they judge you on what you can do, and Kerry would make an excellent VP for any Democrat.

Ninety-five percent of the time a senator, usually a freshman, is stuck with the job of presiding over the Senate. Vice presidents spend their time traveling the world on Air Force Two, making speeches, meeting with the president in the White House, meeting world leaders, meeting with party leaders etc.

I think Clark would love the vice presidency. Plus it would make him the immediate front-runner for the 2012 presidential nomination (when he'll be only 66, younger than Reagan and Dole when they ran).

considering Clark for VP and Clark considered it.

This is a similar strategy. Pretend you're considering Edwards and Edwards voters in NH will think, OK, I guess a vote for Kerry is a vote for Edwards for VP and P in 2012.

It's like that pitch to the Kucinich supporter from the Dean people at the caucus: you caucus with us, and we'll elect you as a delegate and you can go to county-level convention, and hobnob, and vote for K if you want to.

Well, there's no guarantee Kerry will pick Edwards, and that Kucinich guy, if he held out, could have pulled together Geps people and gotten a delegate for Kucinich, which would have been more important than a promise of a delegate. Makes sense?

Edwards referred to Kerry and himself as being the only two who stood up against Bush's spending request in Iraq and used the word "we" several times.

don't get ahead of yourself. edwards is still in the race and he is running for president and sh ould be taken seriously. the southern states are going to come up and edwards is doing very well in those states and kerry is far behind along with kucinich. he has to work hard there to win the nomination. he still has hard work to do in new hampshire.

was extremely supportive after Dean misrepresented Edwards position on the Iraq War way back in June. Edwards was on the floor of the Senate and he said "He lied, He just got up there and lied" and Kerry was seen to put and arm around Edwards shoulder telling him not to be bothered by it, and that his record would be more than adequate to prove his position, and then Dean issued and written apology to Edwards. As a matter of fact, neither Edwards or Kerry have made any sort of negative comments about each other, so I suspect that Edwards will not be leaving Washington when his term in the Senate is finished if he is not the nominee.

The question of which way, is what we don't know. I support Edwards, but I do not expect him to win NH. He really doesn't have to; a 2nd place there for him would be gravy, but he has other and better expectations down the road.

...in a previous debate, "I misquoted Senator Edwards, and I wrote him a letter of apology and I'd like to apologize again here tonight." Then in Thursday's debate when John Edwards said, "Thiis isn't about us," Dean said, "John Edwards is absolutely right," and smiles were exchanged.

I think everybody wants Edwards to consent to be their VP, or to be his VP. I'm looking for Dean/Edwards, Edwards/Dean in ya face BAM 2004!
