3.1% GDP same as Chile or worse
Economic growth took a huge dip this month. This is getting ridiculous and our economic growth could be compared to that of Chile. Our status as a super economic power is eroding away and if things are not changed we will end up being weaker economically than China, India, the EU, and maybe even Brazil. But hey at least those lower income famikly's didn't have to see gay marriage and got their 200 dollar tax cut. That's nothing compared to Cheney's tax cut, but hey I guess money is money. This country's de-valuing of education has lead to this and it will get even worse until we put a progressive in the White House and kick out all these racist scumbags out of Congress.

2. 3.1% is not great, but it's not that bad either
To put it in perspective, since Bill Clinton took office in the 1Q of 1993, real GDP growth has been at or below 3.1% a total of 23 quarters, including 1Q2005.

14 of those quarters were under Clinton, and 9 were under Bush.

There's nothing wrong with 3.1% GDP growth, and I think we look silly when we bash Bush based on GDP growth.

The focus should be on jobs, job growth, and the diminishing quality of US jobs.

When we bash him based on a relatively OK growth statistic, it makes it look like we're reaching for things, and reaching is definitely not necessary.

3. Do you have a link to Chile's GDP numbers?
I didn't see one off-hand. I do know they are becoming quite the success story
