The Nazification Of America?
When you look at this two year old Portland ABC News article treating anti-war protesters like they do most wanted criminals, does it remind you at all of what you've been taught about Hitler's nazi's?

1. No. . .
and I've written books on two different aspects of National Socialism and its aftermath.

4. Wow
I guess I must be mistaken when I see dissenters being portrayed as most wanted criminals. The way dissenters in Nazi Germany were treated..

Sadly I guess its a dark time when even those who proclaim themselves as being the ones carrying on the struggle of freedom and the American way think its fine for our government to treat Americans similarly to the way nazis did to dissenting Germans..

**Sigh**

6. You need to learn more about National Socialism. . .
and the functions and purposes of its security services. Read up on "Night and Fog," or watch the documentary of the same name, and know that if this nation today truly were like Nazi Germany, we wouldn't be writing this friendly exchange, nor would you ever know who had been arrested and why. Terror is infinitely more effective when it is silent.

I believe TriMetFan's comments below are more an indication of what has happened in this, an admittedly very old event.

2. I live here in Portland
and I believe we have the right to protest all we want but to block the freeways and to trash places of business is wrong. And the worst part is that its always a small group that is at fault and ruin it for the ones that follow the rules.

3. A mass psychosis overtook the US after 9/11
and to a lesser extent, the impeachment of Clinton. It is still fueled by bush & co. Given time, the public will regain their senses.

5. I think you see the right-wing trying to perpetuate the psychosis
With the Shaivopalooza and the attack on the judiciary. I think the RNC is looking for perpetual psychosis to go along with thier perpetual war.

7. Fascism is not what this is..
Instead this is a religious take-over, bent on fascism based values in a historical context. After all, in a truly imperialistic nation most of us would be sitting in camps or prison cells for dissenting.

11. I don't understand your point.
If you watched FOX or CNN you'd know what Shaivopalooza was...a media circus created by the far-right. Sean Hannity broadcasting from outside the hospice. It was disgusting.
