How to defend our candidates?
I am angered and frustrated by the intrusion of the conservative media and the RNC in the Democratic Primary campaigns. Yes, I am a Clark supporter, and he is getting the brunt of their attention. However, my second choice is Edwards, and there are already signs that neo-cons are mobilizing against him. Who'll come next?

What I fear is that the strategy that the conservative media is employing is designed to make voters uncomfortable with each of the candidates by attacking them one by one just when they are showing signs of momentum. This will shake any popular support that they might have. By the fall elections we may still be ABB (or any Democrat against Bush) but we will have lost our enthusiasm for that Democrat.

Is there some way of defending the candidates in a way that does not shift support or attention to one candidate but that can help the whole party? Any ideas

1. Buy a Network
Like Rupert Murdoch and then host debates on it.

2. As an individual, I call and I email the press....
The networks have viewer comment lines, and many writers have email addresses. When I see or read a hit piece, I call or write. I also call or write about positive/fair pieces, even from some of the worst offenders, to encourage them, and let them know there is another side out here. If they hear from people, it might make a difference; it's worth a try --

3. start by refusing to swallow the spin
look around here at the number of people that swallow the media hype, good and bad about the candidates. and the number that swallow everything that is on a candidate's web page.
