be working on Bush's AWOL records if they are still available. Some have been purged, I understand from another Durer.

12. I've heard him say

"Let's just let that unfold. My focus is on getting my message out" on questions about other candidates before; I don't see why he shouldn't go there on this one, too. The issue has already been raised in the press; if there is information out there, they'll find it. One way or another, Moore deserves the credit for bringing it onto the national stage, not Clark--and the way Clark is handling it, Moore will get it.

In the meantime, Clark should talk about Moore's constitutional right to free speech, which is very much the concern of a Presidential candidate. The Repubs are on very dangerous ground there, and I think Clark knows it. All Moore is doing (in his book) is asking Bush to provide proof he was there; it should be easy to do, if he was actually there. For Bush to continue stonewalling about it makes him look really bad.

Whoever gets the nomination, there is now an entirely mainstream reason for asking Bush about his service record in the General Election--if it doesn't get settled by the press before that.

13. If anyone is in contact with the clark campaign

they should have the campaign forward the articles to the MTP people. That way Clark can say, I asked Micheal Moore for the information he had. He pointed me to several articles in the boston globe, tnr, etc. I sent them to you so you could review them ahead of time, did you?

I think taking the offensive is the way to go here. If anyone talks with someone who can make this happen, they should.
