Are the Democrats giving in?

Are the Democrats giving in?

On This Week, Joe Biden had this to say:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Senator Biden, we only have a few seconds left. Let me just ask you a quick question. David Broder of The Washington Post floats a possible compromise this morning. He says, "The Democrats should allow these seven to get an up-or-down vote in return for a promise from President Bush to have no recess appointment and a promise from the Republican leadership to allow each one of these seven to be debated extensively." Is that good enough for you?

BIDEN: No, but I think we should compromise and say to them that we're willing to -- of the seven judges -- we'll let a number of them go through, the two most extreme not go through and put off this vote and compromise. Let me read what the American Enterprise says: "Judicial activism will have to be deployed. It is plain that the idea of judicial deference is a dead-end street for conservatives." That's what this is all about. This is about ensuring that we have judicial activists.
The filibuster has always been available to stop extremes.

1. Is he speaking for the DLC or the DNC?
Why is he on every Sunday? Is he chosen by the media? I have my suspicions about this. Why he is quoting the AEI?

10. Dont know for whom he is speaking

but he is not DLC. Probably speaking for himself as often.

I wished somebody else had been on TV this week-end rather than him, Dodd and Richardson. All three looked too compromising in my view. I missed Durbin on FOX, but I hope he was better.

4. Fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice, shame on me

Every single time Dems "compromise" with Repubs, the Repubs don't hold up their end of the bargain.

5. With real Americans - compromise is honorable.
With the cabal/PNAC/Fed Soc - compromise is only a tool to twist, lie, and attack.

It will never be enough and it wil be turned around to use as ammunition.

The cabal/PNAC/Fed Soc is all we win - you lose big time.

7. Chamberlain compromised with Hitler, and remeber the trojan horse?
the trojan horse was not about condoms but it WAS about getting screwed.
the republicans in congress have no morals or scruples and they will never truly reward any democrat for compromising.
