if they were really able to "shut down the senate", they should have done it before passing the bankruptcy bill, the shrub's energy bill,,,,

5. The difference is that this time
a majority of the public supports the dem position on this, and the adversary isn't a popular president, it's an unpopular congressional majority. As long as it's handled correctly, it shouldn't backfire.

6. I think they should shut it down until election reform . . .
that a) mandates paper ballots, and b) removes the voting and counting processes from the hands of private corporations is passed . . . until that happens, everything else should be on hold . . .
