Joining Sen Salazar, Pryor-a moderate Democrat and evamgelical Christian, "lashed out" at evangelicals who are opposing judicial filibusters, saying their tactics "threaten to make followers of Jesus Christ just another interest group....It is presumptuous of them to assume that they represent all Christians in America, even to say that they represent all evangelical Christians...."

I often disagree with Pryor on issues. He's a moderate-conservative southern Dem but in this instance, on this critical issue, he not only comes through for the team, but does so eloquently. A Kennedy or Boxer saying this would have been expected. Pryor, however, was not.

Pryor doesn't answer constituent mail and often votes against what I support. But the fact that he is an evangelical Christian makes him one of those who really can speak out on this matter. I am heartened and pleasently surprised that he did.
