Rick Santorum used WalMart Private jet for Florida SS/Shiavo Campaign
trip! It's perfectly legal though as long as he reimburses WalMart for the money he would have paid to commercially fly. :D

Ed Schultz had guy from Philly newspaper on who who reported this. Reporter says since we aren't in an election year most of his constituents didn't seem too upset. Said his response to his article exposing this was mostly from the usual Santorum haters and lovers. :-(

Apparently he was all over the state pushing Bush's SS Privatization when he wasn't hanging out with the Siavo's.

3. Yeah, but if he was criss-crossing the state, those miles add up.
I would like to see the fair market value toted up and check written to Wal Mart; then I want to see the canceled check...

4. I Am Sure That The Cost Was In The Many Thousands
It will never be repaid.

This goes on all the time.

Hasn't anyone else noticed how rarely these folks are seen on commercial aircraft.

6. Disgusting. WalMart, nor any corporation, should be flying around anyone!
Our system has become so corrupt. Where will it end?

share to get the private corporations out of it. He says the the President and his Cabinet all use Airforce I and II...so why not let the Senate and House have the same privilege and co-ordinate their trips to share the expense.

It sounded crazy but when I thought about it...why not?

12. HA! if they flew like the rest of us they wouldn't make any meetings!
So...they are allowed to be "above us" with the "loaned Corporate Jets" with Enron/Walmart/Exxon/etc...emblazoned on the Corp Jets and we are supposed to give THEM a PASS?

Let them spend a night in an airport terminal with a donated blanket and Mc Donalds for dinner and breakfast and miss their bigtime fundraising event and then maybe they would have some empathy for the average American who has to travel like this for business 24/7 and to see their relatives for holidays. Maybe THEN these PRINCES OF GREED would get a view on what's going on with our airlines(where pilots are asked to work for less and less because they are getting rid of unions and the "Hub System" is the culpret of our delays and overnights in airports) but, Hey...until the "average American speaks out" who the hell cares about what the rest of us think.

Schultz has a good point. Let them live like us where they have to share the jets...even though it gives them their own private jets...still there would only be a few.

Our Senators and Congressmen and Women DONT LIVE LIKE YOU AND I...they are out of it..
