Unemployment

1. Why Ken Mehlman?

What did he do? I don't know that much about him.

2. He's on a "community relations" tour

Do a search and read what he did at Howard University at a meeting of the college rethugs (all 10 of them). Of course, the event was covered by CSPAN.

4. Ken Mehlman (man?)

He was the B-C campaign chair, appeared on TV pundit shows a lot during months before Nov. 2 - "a day that will live in infamy"- and is now chair of the RNC. Allegedly gay...wonder what kind of relations he's having on the community tour? An a-whole!

3. YES! The Repubs are controlling the agenda when we talk of them only.

This is a tactic the Dems and DU-ers can't see or get away from.

The Repubs are masters of combining publicity events with legislative campaigns to control the discussion. The bastards.

We better learn from this and encourage our reps to get hip to this shit and take the initiative.

5. Another pledge to consider: Demopedia

Demopedia was set up so that serious information posted in the Forums could be preserved, instead of being buried under the daily incoming tide of topics du jour. Unfortunately, few people are using it. A good pledge would be that, when there's information of lasting value, the appropriate Demopedia article(s) should be edited to include it. In this way, Demopedia will grow into a valuable resource for everyone.

6. thanks for the reminder, but...

last time I tried to access I could not. One of the admins said no new users were being given access. This may have changed, but I've not seen any admin announcements to this effect.
