Same shit, different party. A small group of pro-business, pro-war zealots are using the political parties as cover for their personal agendas, yet what is the only solution we hear from the media?

"The Democrats have to move more to the right."

It's time to wake up and smell the bullshit. If everyone has to move to accomodate the few in power, then it isn't the "everyone" who are in the wrong place and need to be moving.

I'm pretty much sick of anyone in power in Washington. There are a few brave patriots, but very, very few. Only a couple didn't jump aboard the Bankruptcy Bill Gravy Train for the CC industry. They've sold out all principles over and over again, BOTH parties. Only now, when it is quite literally too late, are a few of the rodents sticking their heads out of their burrows and whimpering "Oh, we might should re-think this!"

Fuck you, DC. All of you. We need to send every single one of you home, starting with Tom DeLay, and working up the evolutional -- yes, evolutional, he said loudly -- ladder. And they can stop by New York and Atlanta with their moving vans and help CNN, Fox, et al, clear out their desks.

Jesus! And to think we have another week of the Pope-A-Thon to go! Then we're on to Michael, I suppose.

You may not like the non-stop papal funeral coverage and I may not like the non-stop Papal funeral coverage but more than a billion people around the world care about this matter very deeply and very sincerely. So suck it up and be good liberal and/or progressive and start TOLERATING views that differ from your own. Diversify your point of view to be inclusive of others. Better yet, read a don't book and don't turn the TV set if it bothers you so much.

5. I AM tolerant of others' views

Very tolerant. But I wasn't speaking only of the Pope. And I really wasn't even talking about just this week. I am talking about all the serious issues going on in the world and in our own country, and how we are instead being told NOTHING for weeks except minute by minute updates on the deaths of these two people.

You can apply your reply to yourself, too. My views are also worthy of being tolerated. Millions upon millions of people protested the war the Pope was against, and we didn't see squat about it. I'm gettin' kinda tired of being tolerant and pissed on.
