Where is our ad to counter the stopwatch ad?
This particular ad pisses me off because it is so damned easy to refute. In case you're not familiar, a republican 527 is running an ad giving the viewer ten seconds (as illustrated on an extreme close-up of a stopwatch ticking) to think of "ANY ideas the democrats have come up with to fix Social Security." A box says repeats the line, with "any" underlined...the clock ticks for ten seconds with no other sound or voice over.

SO...where is our ad? George Soros, send me the money, and I'll make one by tomorrow, dammit, but why do these ads go unanswered? Why not ten seconds of our ideas, such as Franken's "donut hole" approach, or the raising the cap, etc? AAARRGGHHH!

1. Did the ad mention

that Our Fine President admitted a few days ago that he doesn't have a plan to "fix" Social Security, either?

3. Yes ! With Prez offering to 'carve-out' SS and destroy it with Grover
and Karl, he isn't fixing SS but planning a slow death for it.

Why is the President asking for Democrats to "do" anything, since Republicans control all branches of government, even judicial ? Amazing, isn't it ?

6. I've seen ads
We just had a thread this morning about how the wonderful Factcheck said the ad was lying because it said benefits would be cut 46%. I don't remember who put it out. I've also seen AARP ads.

There's also the Death of a Sales Pitch
http://www.democrats.org/ssm/index.html

Too often people complain when they just haven't paid attention to what our side is doing. Their ads get more traction from us than they do from them. Swift Boats was a prime example.
