What do yo think about a Feingold/McCain Ticket?
I know this would never happen but would make an interesting discussion. A new political party maybe "The American Party" with Feingold/McCain as Prez and Vice Prez.
Clark as Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State.
Edwards as Attorney General.

Other Cabinet members include.
Scott Klug
Arlen Specter

Here is were I need help with other names from both sides of the isle. Any ideas?

1. Feingold/Clark 08!
Feingold would be a great President, and Clark could help his foreign policy stuff (Clark would also get expierience and then run in 2012)

5. mCcain at this point is about as credible as Jeff Gannon...
Fiengold on the other hand could get elected.

20. Clark/Feingold Is Better IMO
Clark's age could be a factor. But a Clark/Feingold or a Feingold/Clark ticket would be un beatable, yes, UNBEATABLE.

15. Those shots turned me off to McCain last year
considering how much he was smeared by Rove and Bush in the 2000 Primaries.

He also complained about W's policies for the 3 years prior to the election.

12. Exactly!
McCain is an ass. He teases with his centrist attitudes and then he lines up with the rest of them to kiss the presidential butt. I totally lost respect for him when he clearly saw that Bush was doing the same thing to Kerry that he had done to McCain. Not only did he condone it but then he went on the campaign trail singing his praises. It was truly disgusting. When he was confronted with it he got that sad, moralistic look on his face and admitted Bush had done wrong...but in the next breath is talking about what a great president he is. Pure bullsh*t!

Besides...how pathetic are we as a party if we can't even choose one of our own for VP.

34. I'm sorry, which Senator was it that voted NO on giving Ashcroft...
The power to completely violate fourth ammendment rights and the power to detain people for an infinte amount of time with no real reason, when all 99 others were we're 100% supportive of it? Which Senator was that, again?

McCain was putatively tortured in Hanoi yet he supported and voted for AG Alberto Gonzalez ("Tony is my name .. torture is my game). Something is very wrong with that picture.

17. Everyone is missing the point.
I was hoping to get a discussion on a party that represented people from all across the spectrum. Not a McCain bashfest. Dems and Reps both have people that will say or do anything to get elected. Can you say Hillary? Both sides also have some decent folks. I dont know if will happen but I hope the Reps will take back their party from the current corrupt right wing wackos and become what they say they are about....fiscal responsibility. We need a balanced system with neither party having the absolute power. The current state is a very dangerous situation as would complete control by the Dems.

21. Sounds like you're really hoping the Republican party will reform
so that you can be more comfortable with it.

I have no wish to join the Republican party, never did and never will. In my neck of the woods, they're the ones that are racists, put corporate interests above those of the populace, are against civil rights, women's rights, the poor and are the ones beating the drums for war in the name of Jesus. No thanks.

But I'd like the see the Democrats STOP going towards the corrupt non-ethical cesspool of the Republicans. And the way to do that is NOT by putting Dems and Reps on the same ticket but by Dems STANDING UP for what is RIGHT and being passionate about it.

22. I want the Reps to reform because....
it would be the best thing for AMERICA. I vote for who I think is the best person for the job. Granted there have only been one or two Reps I have ever voted for...Scott Klug and another I can not remember. In the last 3 election cycles there was not a single Rep I would even think about voting for.

I want to see them out of power. I also want to see any Dems are are faux Republican huggy-kissy suckups with the same agenda out of power, too.

Wouldn't your time on a DEMOCRAT board be better spent talking about how you would like the DEMOCRAT party to reform rather than the REPUBLICANS?

18. McCain supports torture.
His Gonzalez vote exposed his standard issue "GOP hypocrisy."

He can kindly refrain from using his POW status with any credibility from now on. He no longer has my respect.

P.S. I'm a Navy Vet, and McCain put his party before the safety of my fellow brothers, and didn't lift too much of a finger to denounce the swifites this past year. Fellow shipmate? Fuck him.

29. I'm with you on that
I had a problem with his vote, his unwilling to speak out.

The hugging and kissing of a man he despises tells me he will do anything to be associated with power.

Plus, he's too OLD, and he was lousy to his first wife, who stood by him and was horribly ill. He was also a maximum asshole when he worked at OLA. The fact that he never made Flag officer is also very telling--he should have been a shoe-in: war hero, POW, from a long line of Flag officers...in any other case it would have been a no-brainer, but they just couldn't bring themselves to bump him up a notch. Judge a person by the way they treat their family and their coworkers...it tells us all we need to know about things like character and loyalty.

I respect him. I think if the Republican party was made up of all John McCain's we would be MUCH better off as a country. That said I'm a Democrat. I'm going to support moderate Republicans as a counter to the extreme right. But I'm surely not going to support them over a Democrat.
