"Had I known..."
FAA, Spring 2001, "the intent of the hijacker is not to exchange hostages for prisoners, but to commit suicide in a spectacular explosion, a domestic hijacking would probably be preferable."

G.W.**, Spring 2002, "Had I known that the enemy was going to use airplanes to kill on that fateful morning, I would have done everything in my power to protect the American people."

Sure george.

"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people and neither do we".

1. so he lied again
Is there anything that's gonna get these neocons to stop supporting him. He could fellate SATAN on teh white house lawn, and they would still be blind to it.

5. Nothing anyone has ever said on DU or anywhere else I can think of
puts more perspective on our current situation than that.

My father, a WW2 vet, patriot, and dyed in the wool yellow dog isn't here to see what the nation he defended has become. I honestly thank God for that, as it would kill him anyway.

Damn.

6. He also watches TV
Remember his "That's one bad pilot" speech describing his experience on 911. In light of this report, not even the dimmest bulb can believe he didn't know immediately what was happening. Even before the goat story.

7. I don't know, I think they were keeping it (9/11) from him. That's
why he looked so f'in relaxed at the book reading. Something about Cheney lead war games?

8. If I had just got 53 messages saying they were going to attack.
52 messages would not be enough! And after the attack, well I had to finish the book. Even if the person they should have attacked would put the school kids in danger if he was still in the room. But maybe it was the subject.
