What's Al Franken's Big announcement
Just heard he is making a major announcement on his radio show tomorrow. Anyone have info on it?

8. what's a better candidate
Al Franken - Unimpeachable past (as far as I know) Witty Funny Warm Command of facts better than most pro politicians Plenty of cash and could probably filibuster the senate for a week.

15. And ZERO experience running for elective office
He's got some great qualities, but let's not kid ourselves he's not a shoo-in.

16. you mean like Arnold, like Jesse Ventura?
He has a better command of facts and policy than most currently elected officials.

He's too middle-of -the road for most of us DFLers.

21. Plus, he was really close to Paul Wellstone, and he was of impeccable
integrity. I think he will do well.

9. He kinda hinted on the show today about a political run
for Dayton's seat. Wasn't quite sure if that was his brand of humor or him trying to put a toe in the water. I like Al but do not know Minnesota politics at all so I'll wait to see what the natives think of the pool of candidates. Al is very informed, well-liked and more than willing to go toe to toe with the repugs and maybe he talents are better served right where he is on Air America. Just my 2¢.

14. It probably wouldn't surprise all those people who have had to listen
to him tell them about his first sight of Bush -- boots, jeans and that "sexy walk." He's devoted his life to living his political dreams through the man. Without Rove, Bush would have been content to have been baseball commissioner.

How is Gore's tv plans coming along? Would it be on regular cable or another network you'd have to special order?

29. I do remember hearing about that
Not long ago he mentioned him being on the Sundance Channel. When is he supposed to make the announcement? I hope he is on the channel because I loved being able to watch him and Katherine on there before the election.

27. Now he doesn't have to wait for Coleman....
The way Al has seemed to be chomping at the bit to go after Coleman--it may be a relief that he can run sooner. Then again, if elected Al could be a real thorn in the side for Normie--LOL! }(
