Senator Reid starring in "High Noon" ...stands down the Anti-NewDeal gang
along with his school marm Rep Pelosi. The Anti-NewDeal gang had vowed to come back and destroy the last vestige of the NewDeal, social security, but only a few are able to prevent that from happening.

8. In this battle on SS, Democrats know that if they fail in saving SS
and become known as participants in the Republicans plan to DESTROY it they will also know that in the end they will be voted out of office so fast it will make their heads spin

"Depend upon it, sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully." - Samuel Johnson

Believe me, Democrats can now recite that to freepers and Republicans on this thread by heart !

7. because Goring made many critical errors.
and did not have a coherent plan. What plans they did have were being read at Whitehall.

Knowing the current crop of Democrats do you really think they have a plan?

10. Social Security the old "New Deal" has stood the test of time.
The Grandchildren of Nazi sympathizers from the 1930's are carrying on their legacy. It must be hard to carry a grudge against Social Security across generations.

Wonder if Joementum really knows who he kissed last night?

6. FDR had many flaws...
But they didn't cripple his presidency. He was great in spite of them.

9. Exactly
Every leader makes mistakes. It's what they learn from them that determines how great they truly are.

11. Kick...
because Reid ain't getting enough credit around here. For a DINO, he's been fighting Bush a lot harder than the Dem leadership of the last 4 years had.

12. He said he knows when to dance and when to FIGHT. SS is the
place to make your stand on. The rest is just negotiable, not SS !
