If European government watches euros rise, US expects Iran action ?
If you were a European government and your euros were rising against a US policy of letting the dollar fall, would you go out of your way to help the US on the Iranian nukes issue ?

We know that if Iran can shoot a missle at the US it will go over Europe (by the Great Circle route) to hit the US; but should something go awry and an Iranian missle mistakenly hit Europe, that would not be good for them, the US, or the Iranians.

What would you do in this weird situation ?

1. Iran is NOT going to shoot a missile at the US...
that is a BIG red herring and scare tactic by the bush cabal. With bush's threat to attack any country it chooses many countries will be looking to protect themselves by arming themselves against the real terrorist organization, the bush cabal and the neocons.

3. I'm confused, does Pakistan have missle capability ? India ?
Can their nukes on missles reach us ? But Iran, with the hint of this capability...Looks more like the threat is to Israel, but Israel has subs with nuke capability ?

What I'm suggesting here is restraint via Mutual Assured Destruction. Are any crazy enough out there to push the button for their 'religion' ?

5. Mutually Assured Destruction is now the only...
option again thanks to the bush cabal's actions and rhetoric. The race is on again instead of the reduction of nuclear weapons as was the previous goal supported by most countries including the US. When you refer to 'religion', religion is never the real issue, it is the cover for greed, territory, control of government. Will any country push the button for those reasons? Who knows? Who knows if the US, Israel, India, China, Pakistan, North Korea would fire one. They haven't yet. As for Iran, they will just join the above list.

2. The Neo-cons have wanted to take down
The Iraqi and Iranian government for a long time. It looks like they will take there shot at Iran within the next few years. I don't think anything or anyone is going to stop them.

4. This is silly
Europe doesn't want Iran to have nukes for the same reason the US doesn't, not *because* the US doesn't. Also, how would a nuclear-armed Iran boost the dollar?

6. Iran doesn't have a missle that can hit the US...only in Condi's dreams...
The hornet's nest brewing being pushed by PNAC is that an Iranian missile can hit Israel. Or, that Isreal might decide to get "trigger happy" with the support of the US to get us into Iran.

7. This story is off the web, so for what it's worth, but says Iran can
strike the eastern US.

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/12/12/94252.shtml

""But they're developing the Shihab-4 for hitting Europe and a Shihab-5, with Russian missile technology, that can strike the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.""

and this

""It is with developments like this in mind that Washington is now pushing plans to begin boarding ships and downing planes suspected of carrying arms between the nations of North Korea, Iran, Libya and Syria – the new axis of evil.""

8. Newsmax is a RW Web site. It's in their interest to promote Iran as
the next Iraq...Mushroom clouds and all that stuff...remember. They were cheerleading for Iraq...pipeline from the RW Thinktanks.

The other site is probably the same. I didn't check it out.
