I am IGNORING the IGNORAMUS during his IGNOBLE "IG-nauguration" today.

Here's my Thursday itinerary:

Took care of my grandson until 10 AM PT this morning (watched "The Wiggles" with him -- cute!) Then, my husband and I went to 24 Hour Fitness. I swam about 50 lengths in the pool. I saw the inauguration coverage momentarily on their TV sets while walking in and out of the club. I thought, "This looks like a funeral." Indeed, it is -- a funeral for democracy!

We had fresh salads and a nectarine for lunch while listening to classical music. Now, I'm cooking a Greek-flavored chicken for dinner, and then we're going to see a preview of the Clint Eastwood movie "Million Dollar Baby." That'll be my day -- January 20, 2005 here in Portland, Oregon.

This is not the day I envisioned, along with many others in this BLUE state. I wish it had been different, but I plan to do as much as I can to speak about our causes in the future. This government is a sham and I feel sorry for all of those people who will be touched by it, including myself...
