4. Politics, politics....
He's good at bridging the gap, but can he be a member of the opposition as well?

7. My opinion: Obama not impressive
He's going out of his way to be "bipartisan." He's afraid to challenge her. Why?

8. the whole time-table of Nunn-Lugar is pure bullshit
that program is barely funded and she's talking 4 years? Iraq is vetting their own security forces? Paaahhhlease.

10. Iraqi troops
A proxy US army to turn against their own people and keep the population divided?

Bribed, when there is no other work or other way to support their families?

11. He's a bit hesitant...seems normal for someone so new
He just made a great last comment about how if we measure our success in Iraq by these elections and their ability to take care of themselves, then we have a long way to go.

14. I doubt it...
He'll do more of the same. Unfortunately, I'm beginning to think he'll be a soft spot for the Dems instead of their savior. Oh, well.

15. We can't expect the Senator with the least seniority to be
the party's spokesperson, much less our savior. Obama still has to learn the ropes before he can establish himself. I've seen this before.
Don't give up on him too soon. Although, a few letters reminding him to live up to his pre-election rhetoric couldn't hurt.

16. I'm getting a little depressed, too, E Chimp
Biden was fawning all over her -- appalling. Boxer was the one who went for the jugular.

Hey, that reminds me -- I've been popping up all over various threads asking people to help Boxer by sending e-mails to CNN and MSNBC. My idea is let the media know we little folks support her so they don't feel so free to "spin" her actions into nothingness.

Here's a link to the post that has the CNN and MSNBC links (a sentence or two is all that is needed). Thanks if you can do this (or already have):

17. He can't get too tough, he's a freshman senator...
but I was hoping for a little more "pushing the envelope". The thing is, he can't burn bridges at this hearing cause she will be confirmed no matter what he says. Once again, Boxer is taking on the brunt of what needs to be said.
