Zephyr, Dean's internet person, says "Let's get wings on the donkey."

I am sure most Dean people remember Zephyr Teachout. This is a great tribute to Dean. And my words to Joe Trippi...shove it.

SNIP...." Just today I got an email from someone whose uncle decided to run for a rural texas local board spot because he got the email from Dean today.

Dean speaks in a blunt, straight way - he's funny, and he has a remarkable ability to listen, directly, to the people speaking to him. He's absolutely clearheaded about the fact that no political act has no cost. Every funding decision we make means there's another we can't - every choice is tied to every other choice. He's also very clearheaded about the difference between being a leader and demanding absolute fealty. He's happy to welcome right to lifers into the party, but that doesn't mean he's about to tone down his own strong views on family planning and a woman's freedom.

The single defining feature of Dean's political life, for me, is that he demands so much of the people around him, be they the people of Vermont, or his campaign, or this country. "The vote," he often says, "gets you a C. If you're going to be a citizen you've got to do a hell of a lot more than vote."

1. Did I miss something?
Why are you mad at Trippi?
Aside from the usual?

2. He just endorsed Rosenberg on Hardball.
It is his right, but I think it is a little much. I don't care if Dean gets chair or not, as he has a win/win with DFA. I just hate disloyalty.

Dean has never been critical of Trippi. But Trippi wrote a book, made money, made more money, and yes, I resent it. He needs to shut up.

3. Trippi dropped the ball on Dean this time last year
Dean never got any of his calls returned from Trippi when he was in Iowa. Trippi was scared he'd get fired or be part of a coup in Burlington if he left his comfy little den.

Now that's one heck of a campaign manager.

4. Right.
And he made a lot of money, both off the campaign and his kiss and tell book.

5. I have no love for Trippi at this point
But I think it's a little unfair to dismiss his book as "kiss and tell".

7. How do you feel about the way he endorsed Rosenberg.
On Hardball, and at Rosenberg's blog on the day Dean announced. I believe fair is fair, and that is dirty pool.

8. I wish he had not done that
Who he endorses is his business, but I agree that this is not a very classy move.
