Rove as a 9 yr. old, got beat up by Dem girl
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 12:53 PM by stellanoir
Just heard this story on NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me."

As a nine year old Rove had a Nixon sticker affixed to the basket on his bike. A Democratic girl of an undisclosed age who supported Kennedy, beat the crap out of him.

They had a child psychologist explaining how this early life trauma left a deep lasting impression on Rove and continues to influence his behavior to this day.

The psychologist gauged the impact of this event on Rove's personality as quite profound based on reports of the vividness and frequency of Rove's retelling of the story.

Further proof that violence serves no purpose and often makes a bad situation even worse. I wonder if the girl is still around and if she is aware of the absolute mean spirited Machiavellian monster he's become. . .

on edit- here's the link but the show's not archived yet. . .;

2. Don't buy it. If he had a Nixon sticker on his bike at 9 years old, he
was already warped. I imagine the girl beat him up because he was the same insufferable prick he is today.

We need to bring this POS down.

9. "We need to bring this POS down."
How. . .?

Unless Fitzgerald really is a tenacious as he's reported to be, and there are implications involving Rove in the Plame affair, I don't see how any of these criminals will go down.

Under Gonzales the DOJ will do nothing but protect them and go after dissenters.

Either the International Community will have to go after them or some disgruntled spooks and retired generals would have to join forces to exposed them for what they truly are.

We've no chance for a special prosecuter to be instated now.

Maybe some benevolant extraterrestrials will intervene. . .

25. My guess is something personal, involving sex. Merkins can't deal with
sexual behavior. Rove can pull off any illegal action in the world and it is fine with stupid Republicans, but if he got a blow job from someone, somewhere, it would do him in.

35. There are still warped GOP kids in my area
I read a newspaper article on Election Day Eve about a kid with a Bush sticker on his bike. Seemed like his parents trained him well in all the Republican talking-points (more like lies, if you ask me). This 10-year old (I think) flat out said "Kerry doesn't deserve to be president because he is a liar". From mouths of babes, I think not. From shit-brained, lousy GOP parents, yes.

13. Well he has made up
all sorts of smears against others so I guess, having no regard for the truth, he might go so far as to fabricate a story like this just to try to rationalize his bad behavior. Who the heck knows with this one? Seemed plausible when I heard it though and the psychologist was thoroughly convinced. They said his web site was "ask a child psychologist" I googled it to verify but got no direct hits.

But I do remember hearing that he was born in December of either '50 or '51 (have it written down somewhere) so the age and that election would have lined up anyways.

up as a child. He said he made it up, as he just looked like someonewho had been picked on by bullies as a kid. He then found out thru a friend of a friend that it was true... Rove was one of those kids who was always being picked on by the kids around him...

EDIT. oooops. I think it was Richard Perle..BUT It could have been KKKarl Rove just as easily (and probably was.) That is what bonds them all together. They were all beaten up by bullies as kids, and are all getting even with the world now!!!!

15. Republicanites always have some lame story about why they hate
Democrats.

For former Washington Congresswoman Linda Smith, it was because she wanted to get a full-time job when she was 14 in order to buy a cheerleader's uniform, and when she learned that child labor laws wouldn't allow that, she decided that she hated government.

For neocon polemicist Dinesh D'Souza, it was during his first week at Dartmouth, when as an immigrant from India, he wandered by accident into a gay social event and saw (gasp!) men dancing together.

It's not beyond the realm of possibility that Karl Rove's story is true.

You act like it was okay to beat up a little boy. I hope you all are joking (as I think you are).

One thing that I really like about the Republican Party is that they talk about personal responsiblity. I wish Rove would practice some of that now instead of blaming that bully.

19. When you are 9, it is easy to get beat-up by a girl
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 03:35 PM by Jose Diablo
They are generally larger at that age, and besides, they don't fight fair. They bite, scratch and kick.

I bet though when Rove got to be say 16-17 and filled out a little, he was more than a match for them. At least the younger ones, say 12-13 or so. Looking at him though, I'd say Rove wasn't a very social person when young.

I wouldn't hold it against Rove for getting beat-up by a girl when he was 9. Actually, I think most guys have stories of being ravished by girls during their youth. Certainly by age age 21 or so practically any man can say with certainty they had been ravished by a woman. Or they should have had the chance anyway.

Edit:spelling

24. I beg your pardon?
"...they don't fight fair. They bite, scratch and kick."

My mama had taught all the ways to fight (boys & girls) by that age, none of them included the above! Matter of fact, we were told that if she ever found out we had run from a fight or 'fought like a girl' she'd whup us when we got home. Worked too, a mama-whupping was FAR more to be feared than any playground scuffle! Also served as adults to keep all 3 of us (girls) from putting up with spouses that liked to throw their weight around.

Hmmmph!

(sorry, couldn't pass that one up LOL!)

Rove probably bites, scratches and kicks!

27. Whoa...um, no.
Bite, kick, scratch is a very antiquated stereotype.

Kicking is also a BAD ASS move.

(Not to mention that anything is fair in street fighting with a Repuke.)

I am a small female that can throw a hook, or a kick that could break a man's jaw, easily. My older brother taught me to throw the hell down so I could defend myself against lecherous men. I have had to use these techniques on more than one occasion, (usually not on dates, thank god, but once with a mugger, and once with an armed assailant whom I stumbled upon breaking into my car when I was a teenager.) Any woman who has had to fend off a would be assailant/overzealous pervert (which is most of us) knows damn well how to take one down, with a few well placed, well delivered jabs.

Girls can't fight?

Watch me.

41. Sigh, what is this world coming to.
So now the girls are learning martial arts?

Is it be better to escalate the types of weapons used? We see it right here in the world today. Wouldn't it had been better to just keep fighting wars with sticks and rocks? Now we have missiles and nuclear weapons. The world just keeps getting more and more brutal with the better weapons. You can see what escalation does. We should have just stuck with settling the arguments with best 2 out of 3 in thumb wrestling.

Many people think that as time goes by that it is inevitable that progress is made. I think we are going backward.

This war between the sexes cannot be won. There is too much fraternizing with the enemy to win the war. We should just make peace and learn to live with each other, even overlooking each others faults if necessary. It is the only way. Who knows, sometimes enemies can become very close friends.

39. i'll bet it was his first piece of DISINFORMATION
Edited on Sun Jan-09-05 01:08 AM by unblock
i'm willing to believe that something actually happened when he was 9, but i'll bet here's a more likely version:

he hated that kennedy-loving girl, and wanted to do her in. maybe she teased him, bested him on a test, laughed at him, whatever. he wanted to hurt her somehow.

so, at the tender age of 9, he INVENTED the lie that she beat him up over the nixon sticker. maybe in truth, he fell off his bike, got a friend to punch him, or got punched by the people who would, years later, become nicole brown simpson's real killers. in any event, he did whatever needed to be done to make the story stick.

and it worked, she got in trouble, suspended, transferred, whatever. maybe he wanted her out of the running so someone else could be lead in the school play.

now THAT sounds like a truly formative experience for rove. his first disinformation campaign, his first political hit.

Read that he channels J. Edgar Hoover on TBRNews.org a few weeks back in a Voice of the White House article. This is supposedly written by an anonymous mole in the white house and put out very late at night every mon. and fri. I don't know if what this guy says is true--that Rove is a cross-dresser among other perverted things--but I choose to believe it because it gives me such pleasure.

No offense to cross-dressers out there. Especially if you are not a putrid hypocrital poser like Rove.
