It doesn't matter who the DNC head is
sorry, but it just doesn't. No matter who it is, he will be portrayed over the entire GOP media as weak (all the cable channels ,thousands of radio dials with 24/7 GOP talking points), an obstructionist ,a whiner and a commie.

We could pick a former U.S. soldier who fought (and was injured) in Fallujah, and he would be portrayed as weak, and.. " did he really earn those medals?".

When you don't have any media outlets, you lose control of the message. Heck, even the news refuses to report the news these days.

Geroge W. Bush's weakening of environmental laws initiatied even by *Ronald Reagan* are termed " Bush eases regulations" - as if the environmental regulations were too "tight" to begin with ,lol.

Or how about this one? How about NBC, ABC, CBS, all the radio stations and the cable stations slamming blue staters on a daily basis during the election? That's right. Here is how they did it:

" can a New England liberal really connect with *real* Americans"? This phrase was repeated endlessly on all the news programs, talk shows, etc.

Can you imagine the outrage if the media said " can a redneck from a red state really run the country without running it into the ground?"

It's basically the same thing, yet it's Aok to bash the liberal.

The media is not on our side folks. The trouble is, it shouldnt be on anyones side, it should just report the truth, which it is not doing. But not only is it not on our side, it's slowly destroying the democratic party simply because they choose to accept less donations from polluters and union busters.

Where is Speilberg, Soros and Turner on this? They should be setting up communications networks in radio stations across the country, and at least be working on one new cable news channel.

Until we get at least a small portion of the media back none of it matters.

We may as well elect the Hamburgler from Ronald Mcdonalds Playhouse to be DNC chair.

1. It matters because
the chair decided which candidate the 10's of millions of dollars raised goes to. Either we are going to support liberal candidates or they will be republican lite.

No, no, no!!! It's critical! We need some tough, kick-butt person who will fight back. The media just parrot the conventional wisdom -- we have to be media-savvy enough to frame the issues and not let the Republicans make mince-meat out of us. It's not that the "media" is against us, it's that we don't know how to use it to our advantage. Republicans are whipping our butts at this at the moment. I hate to say this, but Clinton and his people were masters at framing issues and getting the media slant they needed. The Kerry campaign team was the absolute pits in this regard, sad to say, and that is why Kerry lost.
