Buyers Remorse in Kansas
George W. Bush said he consults with the Almighty every day in his decisions. Well, he must be consulting with an impostor, because look at the results.

2. Interesting mix of comments.
Personally, if anyone complains about the war in Iraq, Bush or any of his minions, or any of the problems (especially education funding) here in Kansas, I'll be asking if the person complaining voted for the Democrats or Republicans for the various offices, and if they say they voted Republican, I'll point out that this is exactly what they voted for.

I wonder if the person who says that evolution is just a theory, has any concern over the fact that gravity is similarly just a theory.

4. Go get 'em!
"The majority of the rich inherited their wealth or earned it by taking advantage of the poor. Let's tax them more."

5. What planet is this nitwit living on?
"Christianity is the foundation of America, and if a building is knocked off its foundation, the building crumbles. And, so, that is what will happen to America if Christianity is abolished."

The poor persecuted Xians again! I guess they won't be happy until 100% of the population is brainwashed and the entire country is run by Xians, of Xians and for Xians.

How would anyone go about abolishing Xianity in the first place? Would it take a Constitutional Amendment, or would a simple show of hands suffice? :eyes:

These nutwads are getting out of hand. Give them an inch and they think they're a ruler.

If you're not from Wichita, I pity you.

7. I don't even know where to start with this one:
For all you rich folks out there, I say, "Way to go," because I know you either earned it, worked for it or won it. And I'd like to be in that mix of folks.

Or your daddy and his connections arranged it all for you ...

I think many of these people honestly have no idea what the consequences of voting for Bush are. They're genuinely baffled by the way the world is turning on us. Makes me crazy.

8. Now here speaks a REAL nitwit
"The column written by Lt. Scott Sims was very moving (Dec. 19 Opinion). I would encourage anyone who questions the necessity of our troops being in Iraq to read it. God bless Lt. Sims and all the others doing what is necessary to keep us free."

Can ANYONE explain to me how not invading Iraq could have possibly put our blessed "freedom" at risk? I mean don't you actually have to HAVE some weapons to pose a threat, and wouldn't they have to be some damn good one if they are going to be an actual threat to us from thousands of miles away?

Honest to goodness, people just don't have any brains anymore!

9. Haha.
I'm LOL at using the Opinion Line as any kind of proof of anything.

It's wildly popular for being a forum where anyone can say any kind of meaningless horseshit while being anonymous.

I took a class at WSU taught by the opinion editor of the Wichita Eagle. He admitted that it's in there for comic relief.

12. Every "opinion line" I've seen has been like that. Some are even
more ridiculous! I read them, but then feel ridiculous for having read them. :P Not as ridiculous as the callers, though.

Who is putting this phony bee in this poor sap's bonnet, for chrissake? Is this person just an idiot, or some manipulator's tool?
