Another generic DLC spam thread
Yeah, I despise the DLC and everybody knows it, but what the fuck...

**getting into character.....**

Why don't we open up our big wide DLC tent and let in all the pro-life, pro-war, pro-gun, pro-Likud, pro -corporate, anti-gay, anti-affirmative action, anti-envirnomental types in , and then we can be the MOST LIBERAL PARTY EVER!!!

**Cue DLC choir singing "Hallelujiah Chorus" with the lyrics modified proclaiming Al From as the Messiah**

2. Please don't associate Pro-Life Democrats
with pro-Likud, pro -corporate, anti-gay, anti-affirmative action, anti-envirnomental or especially Al From.

At least this Pro-Life Democrat.

7. If you're not a DLC'er, then don't take offense, because none was intended
If you are a DLC'er, then after 10 straight years of destroying this party, I have really lost any compassion for any of you.

3. Why not focus your negative energy at Republicans?
It's probably better spent that way.

8. Now why would we do that? It is much for fun to demonize Dems.
Isn't that what DU is for?

12. I don't demonize Dems
Only Repukes posing as Dems. And actually, referring to "demonizing" the DLC is an insult to demons :evilfrown:

14. As I said...demonizing Dems is much more fun.
Screw this big tent stuff. We need a little tent. Something like a folded napkin. It is the way to victory.

17. If you're of that belief, maybe you should tell the DLC.
They're the ones trying to push liberals and progressives out of the party, and they apparently think having a smaller base is better for the party.

So instead of using your internship to slam liberals and progressives who expose pro-PNAC DLCers, why not examine how the DLC is trying to shrink the party, which you're allegedly against?

24. I'm not DLC nor do I agree with the DLC...I just don't think attacking our
own is smart. But it is the normal mode of operation around here. Lets demonize a group of Dems cause they said something bad about MM. Deep thinkers.

25. I don't think the DLC stands for what traditional Dems stand for.
Hence, the criticism, which are not attacks, but legitimate concerns - such as corporate funding of DLCers by rightwinger-led companies like Koch Industries; their constant trashing of liberals and progressives, which they started doing before we started criticizing them heavily; and their support for the war, just not how it was carried out.

We have a right to air our grievances about the DLC. If you believe otherwise, well, why do you hate America? :D

13. Because Al From...
The 'Leader' of the DLC, has drawn a bead on Democrats of the left.

NO MORE MOORE the DLC Joins the Witch Hunt

"We've got to repudiate, you know, the most strident and insulting anti-American voices out there sometimes on our party's left... We can't have our party identified by Michael Moore and Hollywood as our cultural values."

—Al From,
CEO, Democratic Leadership Council

---------------------------------------

I would say, and I will say, that Michael Moore has done more for American Patriotism with one documentary than Al From has in 10 years.

By declaring the left the problem, the DLC has shown its true colors.

There's a problem alright, and it ain't Moore. The DLC is a dead end and should be cut loose.

Just an opinion. An opinionated opinion.

18. what negative energy?
there's nothing negative about taking out your garbage, is there? disavowing the DLC is a housekeeping matter--it clutters up the place.

9. Hey, what about the pro-PNAC faction?
I mean, they've already got at least two PNACers in high-level DLC positions (Marshall and Wittmann), so those pro-treason people would feel right at home!

And besides, the pro-Likud implies it anyway, as does the pro war.

21. Careful! You might not get the "moderate" vote. :)
Will the choir be dressed in their pink tutus for the event? Will there be a Rolling Over Contest with Doggie Treats as prizes? Will the over all winner be allowed to sit on Bush's lap?

Are you going to give the Zell Miller Trophy to the Winner? With second place getting the Lieberman Achievement Award?

Is there going to be a Walking the Center Line With Blinkers Contest?

Will Leftists be allowed to bring their own nose-clamps?
