If we could all go down to Wal-Mart and between the eye clinic and the hair salon, and between them was an abortion clinic, would there be a pro-life republican in America? What if gay marriage netted billions a year? Would they care about this? I guess my real question is, does money trump morals for Repukes? They seem not to care how insurance companies treat Americans. They think it is great that retailers shaft Americans. They support usury. So what do you all think?

1. What do YOU think?
They'd figure out a way to rationalize it if they could make a buck off it.

2. yes they would oppose it
but no they wouldn't stop it

same as their policy has been for awhile. If it were illegal they wouldn't be able to outrage folks anymore. they would probably lose all of those catholic votes. fundies who knows.

4. In that case, when the Catholic/fundivangelical piper comes, who'll pay?
What are the pukes going to do when their base start demanding laws? Will they ban them or try to hold the bait over their noses for a while longer?

3. Absolutely NOT If it made them money they would encourage woman to
get abortions. I wouldn't be surprise if they tried to make it a law of some sort. If the baby has any defect it must be aborted. SICK I know but this is how these Jacka** work.

5. I've always thought that was a big motivator
For the forced-birthers. A typical abortion costs a few hundred dollars and it's over. Routine childbirth costs thousands, including all the prenatal visits and the actual delivery. Throw in complications, like a Caesarian, and the total goes up and up. After that it's diapers, baby clothing and furniture, formula, etc. Then 18 more years of paying for the rearing of yet another consumer.

Oh yeah, money has a lot to do with it. With gay marriage, the wedding industries would reap benefits but I think hetero marriage is greatly preferred by corporate America b/c it leads to more birthin' of babies. Yes, I know gay couples can adopt or conceive through alternative means but it's a lot harder than just forgetting to take a pill or to stop and get condoms, which lets face facts, is still how most conceptions occur in this country. I don't think the Wal-Mart Industrial Complex is against gay marriage per se, but it's not as enthused about it.

6. If it becomes illegal
it will return to the black market and the hands of the mob and will make millions for more crooks. That's probably one of the primary reasons to push to make it illegal.

7. The Mormons here used to oppose Pepsi and Coke, but then....
But then one day, some years back, they bought a Pepsi bottling plant.

And now all the little Mormons run around drinking the stuff....
