Barack Obama on "the View" today
He was talking about the morning after the election when Bush called him and he said he had breakfast with him, Cheney, and Rove. That would have been a tough breakfast to force down...seriously, though, very good interview and Meredith is just enamored with him:loveya:

Great interview! I'm so proud to have him on our team and he does offer hope!:bounce:

1. Too bad Star Jones wasn't there
she is crazy about him. I had to watch just to see Elisabeth (the Republican) give him those dirty looks she always gives to anyone who is not a Bush-lover.

3. when Edwards came on she had him some ugly angry look on her face
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 12:09 PM by JI7
the whole time towards Edwards.

Edwards tried to talk about issues but Barbara Walters wanted gossip.

starr jones was there so she was able to help edwards talk about the issues.

4. I know, I thought the same thing
Today is the first day I have been able to watch the view since the election. I just can't stomach Elizabeth.

12. same here!
I stopped watching after the election too - mainly because of Elizabeth. I still can't understand why they chose her. She's awful: annoying, not funny, and Republican! (Actually, those 3 characteristics go hand-in-hand...)

5. I despise that show
I think it's a patriarchal plot to demonstrate that women really aren't the intellectual equals of men. "Just look at what women consider a news show!"

whatever:eyes: Nobody said you had to respond to this thread--there's a nice little x there for you. I just don't care too much for cynicism when I'm trying to discuss something that I think is important--like hope for our party.

9. Yes, I'm told that's what it is supposed to be
News from the female point of view or some such thing.

I was appalled when I first saw it and appalled to at least one order of magnitude greater when I learned that it is supposed to be a news show.

Don't be an idiot. Of course it's not a news show. I've never heard any of them claim that it is.

14. That's what I've heard it's supposed to be
It was on another TV show--don't remember which--but they insisted it was supposed to be a news show.

Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 12:36 PM by madison2000
Now he gets to start acting like a bland and inoffensive politician. Just what we need.
