2. One for Kerry
It would depend on him getting more visibility in the next two years.

I'd support any of our candidates without hesitation, though. I hope we will make it a competition of strengths, not a bashfest, between now and then.

8. I absolutely love her, and it's her time.
Time to run a woman for President, time for Hillary to make final grab for the greatest political power, final chance to have another Clinton in the White House. And, I believe she can win. I think people constantly underestimate her and they will be proven wrong.

1) Doesn't come with Hillary's baggage

2) Much better record of standing up for progressive ideals than Hillary.

43. Female govs, who do you mean?
Katherine Sebelius I'm about pretty sure is too conservative for the national ticket, and Kathleen Useless Blanco shares the same predicament that Sebelius does except for the fact that if she had any skills as a politician she could be a fairly good southern moderate governor instead of a DINO. What other female govs are there? BTW Anybody whose rich and is governor of a Northeastern state is PROBABLY (but not 100%) a big no-no.

I was just throwin it out...

I know that here in Mass there's a woman who works very hard to put women in governor's offices over the country because that's the best market for potential presidents...

if there aren't any, then we oughta be working to make sure there are...

in Mass we tried to elect a woman governor - instead we got mitt pretty boy romney!

Mass is about as liberal as it gets. I'm told Romney intends to retire soon, probably a good opportunity to snatch the governor's mansion.

23. She is the only star on the list
Let's face it, despite the misgivings many of us may have about the pandering and triangulating Hillary, she can certainly "outwit, outplay, outlast" all of the other candidates and she will obliterate the GOP nominee.

54. I have nothing personal against Hillary
and I think she would make a fine president if she could get elected. I just don't believe that she could get elected in the current political climate.

She has been demonized by the RW to the extent that many people see her as practically the anti-Christ. If the Reds poured out this time to vote against someone like Kerry, I can't even imagine the kind of turnout they would have if they were voting against Hillary.

I think it's very sad that's the case, but being a realist, I simply cannot get behind a Hillary candidacy.

Which just goes to show you that just as Sen Kerry rescued a Republican in Vietnam, and he might be able to rescue others in 2008 ! And Zinni said (see http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5113717/ ) that he couldn't vote for Bush as long as the neocons remained in the DoD.

Let's wait 'till '08 ... we'll tarry for Kerry !

I bet he hated him too, and bill won. And Bill would win again in 2008, and he would have won in 2000 and 2004. And neither Bill nor Hillary would have gotten us into this mess. So tell your B-in -law to go screw.

And the past history with that same campaign manager and the Dukakis campaign, not to mention that Gore stepped in to take credit for relief for Boston fishermen (or somesuch), a Kerry project, when Gore was campaigning in Mass., I do believe there is too much animosity between the two camps for any kind of decent relationship.

The Clark message board is, by far, the most active one in Groups.

Yet, we are told, Clark's popularity here was an illusion, attributable to fifth columnists and DLC drones who signed up for the express purpose of laying astroturf for Clark...

60. Looking at these results,we might as well take a pass on 08
Shesh.

WE finally come close in Ohio (did better in Ohio than the nation at large for the first time in forever)then we want to flush it down the toilet.

Ive always said the nation is about 269-269 because I know that our 289-249 advantage in the least election will be flushed if we nominate a DLC stealth candidate.

And thats just for starters.

We will loose at least 40% of Hispanics for good , probabilly loose Iowa , Wisconsin , Nevada , New Mexico and never have a chance at Arizona and Florida.

If we nominate general Clark (or another of the elite elect) then we will turn electoral momentum on our side over to the GOP and they will be the governing majority for decades.

Liebermann at least wore the DLC label on his sleeve. Now is the time we get in touch with the nation so we stop making the same mistakes every cycle. Kerry was somewhat progressive enough to allow us to observe the small spark left in our nation (we did MUCH better in many states than we have in ages or ever)but we will risk turning off progressives and populists forever from the voting process.

Looking at these results I say we just concede 2008 , dont nominate anybody, and at least hold our ground with the nation that we would badly loose by nominating Clark.

64. You think he can win in Arkansas?
Huckabee would clobber him.Lincoln or Prior would wipe him out in the primary anyway.

I know he wouldnt have a chance in a national race anyway.

Maybe congress but then again any of the 3 Democratic congresspersons would be better than him (except Mike Ross , a conservative in a heavy liberal district , maybe Clark would be an inch to the left of him).

He wouldnt have a prayer in the conservative north western district.

While we are mentioning Arkansas , I think we should study Vic Snyder a staunch liberal in a conservative district. Thats how we win.

Clark has the name recog and power to carpet bag too.
He could move into another state we need and pick an unpopular repug off.

I don't think he can win nationally if he has no policy cred.
