This has been a tough day for everyone.....
Don't let the bastards get you down! :) If there is any joy in this election, it is that we are the ones that can make their lives more miserable than can the Democratic Party. There is no honeymoon due this charlatan of a president. For some odd reason, he may think he was legitimately "elected" this time around? But we got news for them! We know their game and we will oppose them every step of the way. Not only do we disagree with their right-wing agenda, but we disagree with the fraudulent way they prefer to run their campaigns and elections. We believe in democracy - not fascism. And we will relish every moment that we do battle with their evil kind. We will inform the American people to the best of our ability, even if the mainstream media is asleep. They will not rest comfortably so long as we have the strength to tell the truth about them. And we will laugh in the face of the devil. Good night, all. :)

3. Think you are right. Now if we can just depend on the
Democratic Party to grow some balls and stand up to these thugs on each and every thing they try to ram down our throats. They cannot give an inch. NOT ONE DAMN INCH. If it takes grinding this country to a halt for the next four years so be it. Better than having to re-build from an even deeper hole than the one we are in right now. If you can't fix the problem at least the DNC and the blue Senators and Congressmen can stem the flow until sanity and reason return to the land. But it is going to take some statesmen - any one think they are up to the task? (I can't forgive them for rolling over and playing dead on the recount, voter fraud issues, and not challenging the repugs outright lying. They need to get their heads out of their arses - and they have to do it right now.

4. There was something about today. Reality sets in.
Kind of another wave of sadness hits when you realize this is for real and we are in for another whole four years with this administration. The war in Iraq - plenty to be sad about there. I am usually the optimistic one, but my energy for this fight is low today. It's good to know there are so many out there ready to fight!

6. I normally wouldn't say this..
but I'm going to enjoy watching the country limp through the next four years. No pity here.

There. I said it. In public.

People will try to dismiss my thoughts as anger (a stage of loss), and it may be true, but it's a valid feeling. I think I'm going to be in the anger stage for a long, long time. Particularly since voters appear to have not learned anything in the past four years. Hell, they might've even de-volved a bit in that time.

The U.S. has voted for the things that will bedevil us, and it is once again time for another Painful Lesson. No deaths or violence, please.. just plenty of economic hardship. That'll do quite nicely. I'll just sit back and watch with that wry "told-ya-so" grin on my face.

If John Paul Stevens can hang-on for another four years, I will look to him as a beacon of strength.
