The REALLY scary thing to think about is................
If the radical religious right succeed in getting Roe v. Wade overturned, what will they go after next? All that energy and money and orginization will now need a new target. What next? And after that? Rather frightening, eh?

2. Birth control. First to unmarried individuals. Then married couples.
Abolish sex ed in public schools.
Jail adultorers.
Stone former virgins (unmarried, of course).
Prohibit sale of sex toys.
Forced adoption of children who are born to unmarried girls/women.

Go to the Bible for more ideas.

3. prayer in school
flag burning ammendment, 'under god' on almost everything.
There is also a bill that has been introed late in this session that puts the law of God above judicial decisions. Don't have specifics. Read about it on Kos. I may be a little off on exactly what it specified, but it was something like that. That would be right down their alley.

4. Rove will never let them actually over turn Roe v Wade
because then they will have no wedge issue. They will chip away further but will find a way for the Demos to scuttle a complete over -turn

6. Well overturning "Roe v. Wade" ... all it does is return any and..
all 'right of privacy' decisions to the states. I don't know why anyone thinks that it will automatically outlaw abortion. It won't.

And I agree that they will start attacking birth control the nanosecond "Roe" is overturned.

Remember, Gang, "Casey" somewhat weakened Roe, yet affirmed it, imposing a 'viability' standard instead of the trimester standard.

I'm scared ... but ... I have to hope for sanity!

Is that hoping for too much?

11. Overturning Roe.v.Wade is Only the Beginning

It would immediately reinstate any existing anti-abortion laws that
were still on the books, which would probably make abortion illegal
in many states immediately. The Court could go further than that,
and declare a fetus to be a person, which would automatically make
abortion illegal everywhere, and require a Constitutional amendment
to undo.

There is really very little they can't do at this point. :-(

9. Sodomy Laws, So They Can Imprison Gays
They were very disappointed when those were struck down.
With a couple of their people appointed to the Supreme Court,
those will all come back into force (were they ever repealed?).
