| Group proposal - Disabled Activists |
|
I would like to form a group with other disabled DUer's who are determined to support progressive change.
I am disabled with epilepsy and Central Pain Syndrome. I mainly did keyboard activism in the last year - putting pressure on Disney to release F9/11, trying to pick off Nader voters, running a satirical anti-Bush website, and donating money.
I would love to exchange ideas for activism, share victories and frustrations, work together with other disabled DUers, and talk about issues that hit the disabled hard. For example, medical marijuana is one of my causes.
Sometimes the DU forums move a little fast for me, and by having a group for disabled DUers we can make sure that threads that interest us stay up long enough to get responses.
Even if you aren't interested, could you kick this, please? There seem to be so few disabled people on DU that this will scroll down to the bottom in a few minutes.
