arm the truth!

i thought of this phrase in another thread and thought it merited its own post.

the idea is that simply presenting the truth is not good enough. the truth is fighting against propaganda and disinformation specifically designed to defeat the truth.

if we are to be advocates of the truth, we must arm the truth with the ammunition needed to drive the point home, to SELL the truth, not merely to present the truth.

we need hard-hitting rhetoric and simple, catchy catch-phrases; sound bites; in-your-face retorts; and yes, even borderline juvenile putdowns and ridicule.

the truth deserves to be marketed, not merely heard and immediately dismissed by the forces of darkness.
