Private Military Firms (PMFs) in Iraq, why is Bush outsourcing to....
...PMFs. Maybe what John Kerry said in the debates about the Iraq War being the wrong war, at the wrong time in the wrong place was correct. This piece is somewhat dated now, but it had to do with the ten day U.S. battle in Fallujah when the four American mercenaries were killed by an Iraqi mob back in April 2004 and then suddenly the battle was halted by Bush until now. Maybe someone knows of a more current website dealing with the current situation. If so, please post here. This one however, shocked me because I had no idea how involved these PMFs are in keeping the situation hot and dangerous in Iraq.

1. I believe the PMF's have been granted general amnesty by the Iraqi gov't
In other words, they can do anything they want to, totally outside the law.

2. Where are all the PMFs (Mercs) going after Iraq
Do you think they are all just going to retire?

Or after making 140K per year they would be willing to return to one of the fine food service jobs (McDonalds/Walmart)the Bush economy is providing for them?

Or do you think they will want to find work as a Mercenary again?

Which country do you think they will work for?

Do you think they will care about their new master's political affiliations?

What if they go to work for a country that opposes the US?

What if they go to work for Columbian Drug Lords?

What if they just decide to rob a few banks?

No one has been asking these questions or pondering these ideas. I think this world wide force of Mercs the Bush war machine has generated is going to come back and bite us in the ass big time.

Remember......

We created Saddam

We created Osama

We created Noriega

Time and time again these guys come back to bite us in the ass. This time it is about 30,000 of them

3. Blackwater USA
Blackwater USA is nothing more than a front office for the CIA. The part of the country where Blackwater is located is crawling with spooks. Southeastern Virginia & Northeastern North Carolina is spook central. Blackwater is in Moyock, N.C.; Camp Peary is on the Peninsula near Williamsburg, VA; there is a place in Carolina near Moyock that is a CIA/Special Forces Training Base called Harvey Point. Naval Radio Transmitter/Receiver Northwest in Chesapeake, VA is actually operated by the National Security Agency; Various Naval SEAL Groups operate out of Little Creek amphibious Base in Norfolk,VA. And these are just the ones that I know about. That part of the country is a friggin' arsenal.

4. It would be nice to think they have some affiliation to the USA
Edited on Sat Nov-13-04 02:02 AM by FreakinDJ
but some of these Mercs come from countries like Poland and Italy

They are going to be going to Blackwater

Not even half of the 14,000 US Mercs will be going to Blackwater.

They will be out there looking to work for the highest bidder, be it Columbian drug lords or Fidel Castro
