Let's talk of relocating to blue states
I've watched the place where I live get redder and redder as time goes by. There were many here in our precinct voting democratic, but it's getting to be a pretty heavy load here.

I want to talk specifically about Taos New Mexico, it's an old hippie refuge, I'd forgotten about it until we drove through there. It's close enough now, that I think I could make it there in even my car.

The west coast is too far, Ilinois is closr, but, I'm getting sick of winter, so that rules out the NE also. Taos may be a blue island, but I'd feel a whole lot safer there.

I know there are others feeling the same way, it's getting to the point to where it makes more sense, to get somewhere safer.

1. Taos is nice and
so is Santa Fe. New Mexico is a beautiful place. And the Governor, Bill Richardson, is a Democrat....

2. But if all the Dems move to the blue states, we'll never win back the
white house or the congress!

3. Electoral votes are given on the number of people
If we drain as many people as possible out of the red states and pull a bugboy, we can get reapportionment right away and do a little ballot stuffing.

4. I'm in a red state too,...
but I think we should move to purple states, not blue ones.

6. Exactly. Purple states should be the priority
Ohio, Iowa, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Florida should be priorities.

The repug corruption in some of these will always be a factor. Look at reliably blue California. An actor that played a pregnant man is Governor, and calls the rest of us "Girly Men".:eyes:

5. Rumsfeld has his retirement home in Taos
I would pick another city, if I were you.;)
